Orca Design and Manufacturing Corp. will be attending the Rocky Mountain Audio Festival at the Denver Marriott Tech Center from October 15th through October 17th, 2010. Orca Design is home for Raven Design Studio and Raven Pure Ribbon Drive Units. Showing at this event will be the new Raven ‘Ebb’ loudspeakers. The ‘Ebb’ is a floor standing loudspeaker that is comprised of leading edge technology in every respect. From the new ‘Raven Point-Source’ ribbon tweeter to the sandwich cone bass/midranges to the cabinet designs, they truly are state of the art!

To mention one of the visible features of the speakers are the rear bass/midranges. There are two drivers located on the rear of the speaker and they play exactly what the front four midranges play but at 180 degrees out of phase in order to obtain an optimized true Cardioid sound distribution pattern in the listening room. This arrangement of drivers allows to control the reflections that occur in any room to retrieve the acoustics of the original recording . Timbre, pitch, loudness, depth, width and height are all improved to a point where the projection of a real sound stage is realized right in your own listening room.

These speakers are truly a marriage of traditional pride in Craftsmanship and “avant garde” Technology. From the cabinet design to the Venturi port to the passive crossover, we use the very best techniques and materials throughout. Words cannot do justice to the sound these speakers produce, so we are inviting those attending the Rocky Mountain Audio Festival to please come by room 469 and discover the ‘Ebb’ for themselves.
