Along with multi-zone audio, wireless and web connectivity is becoming the new ‘hot’ in high and consumer grade audio. I’ll still curious who actually uses this in their home, or would use it, but it is the direction the larger manufacturers are moving. Denon and Marantz both have the creme-de-creme pedigree of hi-fi, so I’ll assume their is a need out there they are filling, and I’m sure it will sound good.
Airplay will allow owners of certain Denon and Marantz products to stream music over WiFi from their iTune, iPhone, iPad, iTouch devices. The Airplay upgrade will only cost a small $49.99. Not bad. I’m curious how high end accessories (cables another after market components) will jump on this boat. Clean air for better performance. I can hear the difference now! Well, maybe this will never make it to the reference devices.
