After much re-positioning in my room, I've come to a fantastic conclusion: THIS THING ROCKS!! VERY satisfying looow deep bass. Highly recommended for the low price. It is used in my system with Cambridge Soundworks Tower II's, and an Onkyo 100 per ch. receiver. You will not go wrong with this sub for the price (I paid 199. at a local "discount" mega-store). |

I too bought this sub from NetMarket.com. The order form gives you the option of the BU2, which has a 100 watt amp instead of the BU120's 150 watt digital amp. I ordered the BU2, which was priced at $20 less, and received the BU120. Total price: $236 w/ shipping & tax. GET IN ON THIS DEAL BEFORE NETMARKET REALIZES THEIR MISTAKE. This bad boy lists for $599! As far as performance, I'm blown away. The bass is tight, controlled, and DEEP. It matches perfectly with my Klipsch 1.5's, and with the range of adjustment it gives you, it should match perfectly with any system. It has far more power than I will ever need--as I live in an apartment building, I haven't even dared to crank it more than 50% for more than ten seconds. I'm afraid it'll shake the damn building off the foundation. And to think I was going to spend the same amount on a crappy Kenwood with a 10" driver and only 100 watts (probably peak). |

Bought from Netmarket for under $200. Excellent bass response. Definitely helps out the 2000.4 front speakers, which lacks a solid bass punch. The best bang for the buck in my opinion. Highly recommended. |

Sound Quality Bought this at the Harman Outlet Store. I did not notice the humming others had mentioned - pretty quiet. But the sound quality was not up to par. First noticed boominess and actually got headaches listening to HomeTheater. I got a PB12 and played them side by side. PB12 definitely tighter - not as boomy. Recommend you pass on this model - plus the outlet store has tons of these - must be because of returns / failures. Similar Products Used: JB12 / TLX PS10 |

Strength:
Low cost, relatively good quality guts, DD and DTS impact.
Weakness:
hum, but really not that annoying. Bought for $143 delivered from Mercata, after $50 sign-up credit. They offer this pretty regularly. This is hooked up to a Yamaha 1105 and plays with large Boston Acoustics speakers, which have good bass to start with. Similar Products Used: N/A |

Good movie bass, ok for music
Weakness:
NO on/off switch. humming This is an amended review of my original 5 star review. The sub still sounds great, but the lack of an on/off switch and the low buzzing/humming is gettin on my nerves. Not the noise itself, but it makes me think that it will wear out and die from that humming. |
