Strength:

crisp, detailed mids and highs, decent ammount of bass. very solid build quality. 5 year warranty. price.

Weakness:

none for this price point.

These are good sounding speakers at a very good price. I bought them to use as rears for my HT. I have neighbors behind that wall so the front firing bass port worked out well.(My system has plenty of bass, doesnt need extra energy from wall)The magnets on the speaker grill are a nice touch. I moved them to the sides when I added a sixth channel and they do great. I'm sure some bi-polars would be better for movies but these are much more flexible. They are a nice compliment to my entire klipsch speaker system.Floorstanding sound at bookshelf prices!!!!

My system:
Sony-Kv-f16 32 WEGA
Denon-3801 receiver
Pioneer-cv-503 dvd/cd
moster-3500 line filter
fronts-KLF-10
center-KLF-C7
Sides- KG-3.5
Rear- KLF-C7
Sub- KSW-12

Strength:

Clarity, detail, efficiency

Weakness:

A tad harsh for some ears

I bought these speakers as they were being discontinued for a very reasonable price, about $400 for the pair.

I personally like the detail and clarity of the Klipsch horn tweeters. These speakers so seem to be quite bright, and may sound harsh to some listeners.

In my listening room, I have found the bass to be pretty good, much better than I expected. While it is not particularly deep, it sounds very punchy and well controlled. While my amplifier's excellent damping and hefty power supply may contribute to this sound, the woofers seem well controlled and constructed.

Overall, this is a very detailed and involving speaker, not all mellow or laid-back sounding. To some ears, this may be somewhat tiring, but I personally like the resolution. Of course, listen before buying

The construction of the speakers is excellent, with heavy-duty materials all around. Would make a good pair of speakers to buy used, particularly if you can listen to them at home and see if you like their sound.

Strength:

The horn tweeters are excellent, gold plated 5-way binding posts

Weakness:

They don't look as good as the new SF line

First I went to Circuit City and listened to a pair of DCM short towers 10" 3 ways. The music he played was other worldy and dumb but they sounded great I contemplated buying them but then realized that I don't buy anything without first checking out Magnolia. Sure enough, my eyes caught the Klipsch line up. I told the dude that I wanted a pair of tower speakers for less than $400 and just looked at a pair of the DCM's, he used to work there and was familiar with those. He couldn't chose a favorite. Neither could I. He played some Moby and Metalica off of a 70 watt Denon amp because I've got a Yamaha with 70 watts. The music sounded clear loud and luscious. I bought these because the tweeters were far better than the DCM's, everything else was pretty comparable. Now I have an SC-1 Klipsch center channel and quintet surrounds. Klipsch is the shit. They make the bomb shit. Not a lot of companies in there class or price range can do it like they do, period. These speakers have amazing bass for 6 1/2's. They can move a lot of air. The horn tweeters are pretty insane. you've gotta turn the treble down quite a bit to be able to hang in there with em' Music in stereo is precise full and balanced with these. They sound just as good as the new klipsch SF series if not better. I mean the KG line. The thing which is cool about the newer ones is the floating grills. but at this time you can probably get a good buy on these. They're great.

I just wanted to add that I have been taking more time to read these reviews here and these speaker don't really come off as being all that great, but let me tell you that they are really sweet. I went back to the place where I bought the speaker and did a second comparison. The only I listend to the New Klipsch SF-1 and didn't think that it sounded nearly as good as this speaker and it has gotten way better reviews. I thought it was about equal with the SF-2, but the difference between the 2 more depends on taste. The only speaker that sounded noticeably better was the Klipsch RF-3 ($400/each), I would have got it if I could afford it if could but I'm not quite there yet. The only speaker that I still want to compare with the KG 3.5 now is the KSF 8.5. It really is a great speaker; some of these people must just have terrible receivers, I've tried mine with both an Onkyo TX-DS595 and an old Yamaha Natural Sound R-7. Take a listen for yourself ;-)

Strength:

Clear high-mid range

The Klipsch horns produce a very crisp & clear reproduction that was unexpected. Depending on the quality of the CD being played or FM station's reception, the KG3.5 did well.

The Klipsch system is perfect to replace your old speaker system that came with your old HIFI. My original SONY system is 10 years old, however it's been great, and I didn't want to replace the whole system. The new Klipsch speakers indicated I didn't need to buy a whole new system, just replace the speakers...

they weren't free ;-)

I absolutely fell in love with these speakers from the moment I first started listening to them. The highs are so crisp and easy listening and the bass is rich. The music just feels like it flows out of them. I have a huge approx. 40'x40' room with a high ceiling and these speakers fill this room with sound easily. I have them hooked up to a Onkyo TX-DS595 Receiver. I was using some MK Bookshelf speakers and an MK 8" Subwoofer that was bought about 15 years ago. I first unplugged the MK Bookshelfs and had these Klipsch running in place of them with the subwoofer. They sounded great but then I realized that the bass coming out of the Klipsch sounded better than the bass from the MK Sub (probably just cause it's so old) so I turned the sub off and just have the Klipsch running and it sounds amazing. I originally was planning on going out and buying the Klipsch SB-2 Bookshelf's but then the guy showed me the KG 3.5's and I fell in love. They sounded so much better than any of the bookshelfs, and they sounded almost just as good as the really high end expensive klipsch speakers. I just can't wait till I get the money to get my Klipsch 12" sub and RC-3 Center channel :-). It just goes on and on and on and on........

While the 3.5's might not give you absolute fidelity they are a very enjoyablepackage for the money. I have a NAD 312 integrated amp (25 watts/ch) and the high sensitivity make for a very dynamic duo. I've tried to be carefull in system matching to avoid bright electronics or cabling and I beleive that this
aids in making the Klipsch a little more neutral. They place sounds out in the
room in ways I've not heard before. The imaging is decent nothing spectacular though. If this type of speaker is appealing, you won't be disapointed.

P.A. speakers? I think not. These are low speakers in the Klipsch line but they are still incredible. I use a pair
for rear speakes in my AC-3 setup. I hook them to the mains
of my Rotel A/V amp, sometimes. They are very dynamic and
the soundstaging is unsurpassd in their range. The tractrix
horn tweeters are very well behaved and nothing anywhere
related to a P.A. drive. these speakers are a steal and
can be found for well under $600. As always, tke them
homeand listen to them. Most of you would keep them.
