Strength:

the staples used to hold the box together

Weakness:

the idiots trying to sell them

I was approched by two guys in a red van at a set of lights while traveling down Brunswick road in Melbourne.

They proceeded to tell me of these wonderful speakers call the Dynalab that there company had overstocked and needed to get rid off ASAP as it was end of year and i could have then for $1200. At this point i thought these are really nice guys giving me a deal like this and that i should share with people such a great deal so i asked then if they would like to sell a few more pairs to a few of my friends at work.

The guys said they would have no probelm with that at all so i gave them the address to my office and with this they gave me a real funy look got into there car and drove off real fast. One of them must have noticed the street address as being the St kilda police complex and i though to myself how rude i have a lovely office but it wasnt to be.

Buy the way i ran the licences plates upon my arrival at work and they turned out to be stolen plates (supprise supprise)

Though I adamantly disagree with their tactics, their greed is fueled only by ours. They want something for nothing; what went through our minds when we were thrown their pitch??? I feel stupid and gullible; I should have known better.
On the other hand, they are predators that take advantage of people who aren't necessarily looking for trouble. It's illegal for the cops to do a sting in which they set the person up. Legal stings are only valid if the suspect initiates the contact. So I am all for ideas on how to get them back ( at least a laugh or to waste some of their time ). If you have any cool ideas, email me at phreeloder@juno.com. Include "scam" in the subject heading. If I get a chance to out your idea, I'll write you back to let you know how it worked.

Strength:

Very cheap price.

Weakness:

I am not sure.

I am not sure how good or bad these speakers are since I kept them for only a few days. I immediately returned these speakers based on the reviews I read on this site.

I bought these speakers from two young guys in a white van, they told me these speakers were incredible speakers, which they had an overstock in, and consequently had to sell as soon as possible. I picked up two pairs for $400, eventhough I really did not need them ( I had recently purchased def tech speakers (two 2004TL's, BP2x's, and C/L/R 2002). I just felt that at that price for two pairs of speakers, which had a 95 db efficiency, would be a great bargain, if not a decent investment for future use in my soon to be made finished basement. Additionally, they sounded pretty good when I connected it to my receiver. Nonetheless, I returned these speakers based on the reviews I read, and more importantly, my wife had a enough of my indulges into home theater products.

I do have to admit, that returning these speakers was very easy. The two young guys had given me a receipt for warranty purposes, so I just called the number on the receipt and spoke to one of their managers. The gentleman was very nice, and was disappointed that I had not given the speakers more of a chance, but agreed to take back the speakers with full repayment of the $400, plus paying for shipping and handling through UPS. It was easy and taken care of very professionally.

I probably will not buy speakers in this fashion ever again, since it is very risky and you never know what kind of product you are really getting. I am happy that everything worked out for the best. However, I truly believe that these speakers have not received a fair shake, and especially the company that sells these speakers.

Oh man I hope you didn't buy these. These are being sold out of the back of some con artist's van. They used the name Dynalab thinking that they might be confused with Dynadio/Dunlavy Audio Labs.
If you see this van run. Better yet shoot them. Has anyone actually puchased these things?
Look at the description for these and you know that it a crock of shit.
Sad thing is, for this kind of money you can get some really good speakers!
Stuff like this makes me ill.

I unfortunately fell into the trap and got a pair. After reading the first couple review, I feared the worst, and when I tested the speakers, it was true. These speakers are not worth $1200 as claimed, may be $100. The highs were beaming and irritating. There wasn't any midrange. Bass was decent, but that's it.
When I unscrewed the drivers from the enclosure, these drivers look like they were made in some cheap manufacturers in Taiwan or Hong Kong. The cross-over network contains of some cheap and simple elements. The wires were thin and they weren't even soldered onto the driver. They were clipped onto the drivers.

I got mine from a white van with the Dynalab logo on the side. Stay away if you see it. One star.

Call me a dumbass... had a bad day, must have wanted something good to happen. Paid $200 to the guy in the white van who claimed he'd been sent too many of these $1200 speakers.
Checked here when I got home -

Hooked one speaker up - total piece of crap. Not worth a penny in my opinion.

I havwe receipt from distributer that claims if I cancel transaction in writing within 3 business days, I can get a refund. Will pursue this and update.

Normally I'm a cynic - can't beleive I fell for this.

I regret to say that I'm a victim of the same scam after I read these articles. I bought (Dfl. 500,- a piece)it from a van (VZ-LF-64) like the other fellow victims. I was on the gasstation on the A4. And for what it's worth, it's the address from the dealer: RDI, Fokkerweg 199, 1438 BG, Oude Meer. Tel. 020 6534487.
