I am currently on my 4th week trial of my BP 10's. Thus far, these speakers along with an MK-V125 sub, Boston VRS Pro surrounds and Dolby Digital DVD format sounds AWESOME! A must to run the BP 10's are a good amp/receiver with high power output and a decent powered subwoofer. I previously own some high end Klipsch for 7 years so the bi-polar sound took some getting use to (as compared to Klipsch's horns). As for music, these speakers do over exentuate the highs, but this can be compensated by some speaker placement and tweeking with one's receiver. Overall, thus far, a rating of "4 speakers" would not be to conservative. I will update in a few months time when the speakers are well broken in.

I am driving a pair of BP-10's with a 100 wpc Adcom amp for audio and home theater purposes. They have a very full sound without being blurry, and I like them VERY much for $750 (2 years ago).
Two comments:
1) You will require a subwoofer to catch the REALLY low bass in movies. But how many speakers don't? The bass on these 10" woofers is quite good by itself, but not adequate for home theater.

2) We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old in the house. These speakers stand up to some amazing abuse (including a bumped tweeter cone, which popped right back out) with no ill effects. They look good, too!

For USD 1000 these speakers sound good. The imaging is great but the high is little bit grainy and the bass is lack of definition. I have compared these speakers to it's little brother BP 8, and I like BP 8 than these speakers. Nice build and good for home theater.

Big. That's the word I use to describe these speakers. Big sound stage. Big sound. I feel that they are better for HT than for music alone, but that's what I wanted them for. They have a great bottom end, but you have to find it. Taking the time to properly place them is a must. But when you get it right, these things just fill a room with sound. Some people have a problem with the bi-polar sound. Me, I just love the way it makes the speakers disappear.

speakers sound awesome with these kinds..;-)
I have a very old Denon AVR 1500 to drive it, and set it up for home theatre
now, they sound terrific still even I would need DVD to try for better source

I first listened to these speakers when I was out shopping with a friend looking for new speakers. The sales person suggested we listen to a pair of BP10's. The speakers had very good imaging and sound stage representation, and I thought the value was exceptional. About a year later I got around to rationalizing the purchase, and have been very happy ever since. I would highly recomend these speakers to anyone, but I also would suggest the purchase of a powered subwoofer to handle the lower (lowest) frequencies.

These speakers are great. They are very elegant and sophisticated looking. Great Design. The looks are not deceiving, as these speakers sound as good as they look. They have great bass response and seem to be pretty flat through all frequencies. I guess you can get better speakers, but I would apply the law of diminishing returns here. Maybe for twice the money you can get speakers that are 2% better. Got mine on sale for $750/pair. I don't think you could find better sounding and looking speakers anywhere for this price.

When I first heard these speakers I was knocked over by the fantastic spatial illusion created by the bi-polar set up. The bass register was also so impressive that the inclusion of a subwoofer made only a small additional impact. Nevertheless I finally rejected these speakers because of the agressively sharp quality of the treble range. This, alas, is becoming all too common with audio units that are also vying for the home-theatre market as well. Trumpet solos, for example, came over like rifle shots! Still, a good if not great speaker. If it had a more ballanced audio spectrum I'd purchace them without hesitation.
