Very good overall performance, I have been pleased with this machine.

Has component, composite, and s-video outputs adjustable black level. The zoom feature is very fun to play with and best of all the picture is very sharp the sound excellent.

Slow to load, the remote could be better - larger with backlit buttons. I'd like one of those wheel controls on all DVDs but at this price that is asking a little too much.

I am in the process of setting up a new HT system and was in the mode of looking at high end DVD systems when this little gem came along for $245 - I couldn't resist and so far I haven't been disappointed.

I got this product from ubid at $209 + shipping and Its excellent for its price. It was easy to hook up with my reciever and the picture and sound quality excellent.

Good value for entry level player. Excellent choice for direct-view televisions. Has component, composite, and s-video output. Great zoom feature. Very sharp picture. Adjustable black level.
No lip sync problems.

Down-conversion is noticable on rear-projection televisions. Remote has small buttons and is not backlit.

This is the first dvd player I've purchased. I think that it is a great value for $200 US. I'll take a few down-conversion artifacts over lip-sync problems any day.

Great Sound, Good Picture

Shatty remote, picture jitter,

I bought this model from Onecall for$244 delivered FedEx 2day. Worked great until picture jitter and a part in Wild Things where it looked like it was running in slow motion! I had to box this up and return it for a new one. The fellaz at Onecall are great customer service dudes. Highly recommend going to them. I will be getting the new one soon so I will give another review later.

Video/audio quality

Downconversion of video

For the money, this player is great! I understand Krogers is selling them for 199.00. I got mine last year and had to send it in for the infamous firmware fix due to audio dropouts. Since then, it has performed perfectly. I'd recommend to anyone with a 16:9 display or able to do the "squeeze trick" on their 4:3 display.

The downconversion causes the "jaggies" in certain scenes which will take away a star from this unit.
