Do not buy this product!!! I bought it as an early Christmas persent for myself last year. At first it was fine for a cheap DVD player. Then the sound would go quite on certain disc. About three months after I bought it the player would get "stuck" in the middle of the movie. I solved this by removing the top of the player to help keep the inside cool. This solved that problem but then I would put in a DVD and would have no sound at all. Sometimes if I turn it off and on again it will work, sometimes I can try for days and cannot get any sound on it. **Save your money and buy a better quailty player and only spend 5.00 for a paperwight instead of the 130.00 I paid for this trash. After I read these reviews I am going to write Consumer Reports like one other reviwer did and suggest the rest of you do the same.

This is one sorry dvd player. We literally used it for 3 months and it will not even read Dvd's anymore. We bought it at Wal-Mart thinking it was a good deal at 80.00. Now my children have DVD's they cant watch and I dont have the funds to replace it :( It's a bad deal all the way around that they would take advantage of consumers :( No Help from the Store or Manufacturer.

Frame! It was easy to take the case off to get the DVD that it didn't want to spit out.

This DVD Player is the second Orbitron DVD Player I've had within a year. I had the problem of not being able to retrieve the DVD, mind you it was the second movie ever played in the DVD Player. So I returned it, for "Another One". I was able to play more movies on this one. ONE MORE MOVIE! Until I played Disney's Dinasaur. And then----- kaput-------all over! So now I'm in the process of returning this one. I guess it was my fault to think that buying a DVD Player at such a good price was such a good deal.
My advise, Don't be a cheapskate like I was, spend a litte more money and purchase something with better quality!

The unit takes a ridiculously long time to listen to the commands you give it. Sometimes it's literally 2-5min. before it responds. Then when it starts responding all of the commands you gave it, start-stop-menu-etc., are all queued up and go off in rapid succession.

Recently, it swallowed a DVD, wouldn't give it back, and puts out a jiggering signal.

I threw it out.

EVERYTHING.....well, the batteries for the remote work pretty good.

I wish I would have been warned about this machine before I bought it. Like all parents, mine told me that they didn't want me to get them anything for Christmas, and like all children, I didn't listen.....Now I wish I would have. My fiance and I wanted to get something different and special for my parents with what we could on our limited budget. We decided on a DVD player, and found one that was in our budget, and in stock 1 week before Christmas. We figured that a little over $200.00 wasn't bad to spend, and it SEEMED to be pretty good from the pamplets that I read. Boy was I wrong. The "simple setup" took me over an hour trying to decode the instructions....but at first all seemed good. It had a great picture, and with the sound running through the stereo, it sounded great. And it did so for about 6 months, then it started taking longer and longer to load. Next the menu highlights went out, so it is like playing Russian Roulet trying to make menu choice, or to get it to play. Then it started freezing up, now the only DVD that the damn thing will play is John Denver's "Wildlife Concert". Everything else it just says "Bad or Wrong Disk". I truly and honestly HATE this machine.
I warn you STAY AWAY....If you were considering buying this machine, save yourself the trip, go into your kitchen, turn on the garbage disposale, and put two $100.00 bills into it.
Heck you might even get more pleasure out of it.

First off, anyone who is considering buying this, DON'T. I don't need to go into a lot of detail explaining what problems this has because there are enough reviews already that pretty much explain most of the problems. I've had one problem that I haven't seen on any reviews yet though. I tried to play a DVD and a whole bunch of green squares started flashing on the screen. Thinking it was the DVD, I got another one and tried it, but guess what, the same thing happened!!

One more thing. For the people who are giving this pile of useless garbage a good review, wait another week and see what you think of it then.

When it worked it was almost OK but that was rare, if the power went off you had to push the power on and off over and over untill it wants to work again just make sure you don't unplug it ever.

Disney movies, Remote control, ejecting the DVD, and having to unplaug the thing to get it to reset. This shouldn't be a big thing if it would be a true fix.

I got this DVD Player as a gift, and was first happy and impressed with it. I wanted to write this review because I noticed something in the other reviews. The first movie I watched played fine, then the DVD got stuck, I thought it was the remote control. I can't stand the remote because the pads kept getting stuck down when they were pressed causing problems. When I was assured that none of the buttons were depressed, I unplugged it, and it played fine again.
Then I put in a Disney movie not Dinosaur, but Fantasia 2000
This is why I am writing this review. I saw that three reviews were fine until they put in a Disney movie. I was just wondering if there was a connection to Disney movies, and this particular DVD player.

plays what i need it to.

remote and menu are not user friendly.

it plays some dvds choppy. actully, most of them. Whenever i stick in a dvd to watch, i can expect that at least once during the movie, itl skip like crazy.
