Just a comment on the HFTN arrangement in the pictures – I’ve just had some made up by Denis Morecroft and only the signal carrying wires are connected to an HFTN. So the cables in the pictures you supplied of the SimpliFi cable should only have 1 HFTN at each end of the cable. Not sure what the effect on sound quality would be if a signal carrying wire and a ground wire is connected to an HFTN (perhaps not as good as it could be).
