Strength:

Good construction Downward firing Lots of power price

Weakness:

Poor AC cord

At first I was disappointed with this subs because it couldn't shake my walls. I have a fairly small room (20 square meters). However after breaking in coupled with good placement, this subs started to shine. Now, this subs can shake the walls of my room. Also, sound can be heard and felt by my neigbors. Likewise I do not notice the "slowness" of this subs when it comes to music. To me it performs well.

Strength:

looks good

Weakness:

poor performance, even for a mid volume set-up.

this sub is, in a word, disappointing. my 90W Yamaha 620 amp with bose 301 and 161 surrounds drown this sub out, even at 50% volume. the crack of amplifier clip is also evedent at this mid range volume.

Strength:

sound controls downward design

Weakness:

lack of cup holders

Well I read rather good reviews about this, although was wondering what it is what some described as "slowness". After buying it I have consequently consumed plenty of time and red wine trying to detect any sign thereof... nothing. All in all a bloody good sub, absolutely fabulous sound. To top it all practical downward direction, can be kicked around when my biker friends come over. To test subs I tried Pink Floyd's Money as someone recommended, OK, also good is the beginning of the first track, with a pulsating heart beat.

Strength:

Great sound, perfect for movies.

Weakness:

A bit slow with music.

I just got this the other day and it works out pretty well. I live in the dorms, 4th floor, and I can see myself getting into trouble with this bad boy! I was watching Gone in Sixty Seconds and for awhile didn't think it was working. So got down on the floor to listen closer, about the same time the part where they steal the Porsche and drive thru the window came up, well I about blew out my ear drums. I agree with everyone that if you love movies this the sub for you! It does pretty well with music, but like said before, its a bit slow. Over all I agree with the value and can see myself with this sub for years to come.

Strength:

Compact size but very powerful bass.

Weakness:

Noise. Soon realized that it looks like an old cash register, or probably petrol dispensers you see in gas stations out west. How about a slot machine?

Been eyeing for a sub for quite sometime at a price ranging from US$350 to US$450. Finally found this puppy sitting in the showroom then immediately begged the petkeeper to feed it in. And guess what, it barks like a bulldog! At 250W, it'll sure make a hell out of my tiny room. Tried low-bass music soundtracks with the Onkyo TX-DS797 AVR's volume just a little above 50% max but the puppy seemed to have eaten chicken bones - the sub screwed up. The petkeeper came to the rescue to perk up the poor creature, and he did succeed. But unfortunately, when a lower-bass soundtrack was reached, it reverts to its crumpling attitude so the salesguy jumped in again to save the day. Adjustment relative to bass pressure is acceptable but would anybody out there want to do such unnecessary fine tuning just to do away with the unacceptably irritating noise? Considering my audio space and my very basic need of pure bass consistency, I instead got a 200W Jamo SW-2010 sub.

Strength:

Anti-clipping and anti-bottoming electronics to keep the really offensive noises out. Appearance and cabine build.

Weakness:

Noisy port, seriuosly restrained amp, false ratings (20 hz rating is actually -10db, not -3..I got to 32hz @ 85db before it went to heck). Cheap feel to the front controls. Port noise is excessive.

I'm sorry, but this sub is a bit of a joke. Anything above 90db and lower than 50 hz induces serious port noise, and the limiter kicks in so that you can never get any real volume out of this thing. I'm almost positive that the amp puts out about 30 watts RMS, since the consumption rates at 60w. 250 watts? Where? I opened it up and it looks like a nice amp, big power supply, big caps, decent driver. But there's no damping on the walls, which lends a hollow boom to the sound. Worth $200, not $250. I'd rather have a sealed 10" than a noisy port.

Good bass for small size, looks, price

Weakness:

Non, if you do some exchanges for it best

I put this review for they who whant to improved a sound of SW 320 like I done. So, put a plastic straws in a port ( a whole diameter ). Refill the inside with a damping stuff ( like it is in loudspeakers ). It will be enough to improved your sub especially for a music. Let us know, am I right .

Strength:

design, value value and value

Weakness:

sound's rather misleading in showroom environment

In HK we don't have a lot of consumer protectin, goods purchased are not refundable unless defective so decisions have to be made rather carefully hahaha.
Anyhow i tried out about 30 subs in the price range and finally rounded up to a choice between Delta, Velodyne, Rogers and the SW320. Others definitely had more punch and simply would kick harder and faster, but a silly question aries.....
Why would anyone want to turn the volume to 3 o'clock on a Krell and shake the floor ALL the time? In the showroom i wasn't too popular coz i insisted to test the subs with the master volume wayyyy down. The sales ppl obviously did not like this approach. But that's where the SW320 begin to shine.
I didn't want a sub to "kick" in, i wanted the atmoshperic presense to be there throughout a film.
Today the SW320 sits at the corner in my viewing area(12'X 15') and i can tell you, with the volume set to only 7 o'clock on my nakamichi AV10, the explosion of Townsend's office in Charlie's Angels stll blows me off my seat!
All in all, the SW320 is designed for real use in your home, and not in the showroom rat race. My recommendation whole heartedly.
