Strength:

Well constructed woofers, good power handling and very sturdy materials. Not likely to blow out even from insane volume levels. Good clear base when in a large enough room. You need about 20 feet of clearance to appreciate. Real wood cases, no veneer. Tossed one across the room, not a scratch.

Weakness:

In an average sized living room, 20 X 20, base is muddy. High and mid-range inadequate. Hi-fi should be between 20hz~20KHZ, these dont quite reach that frequency response. Surge supression is over protective, Im resetting the breaker every 20 minutes, why I tossed one, though it is a nice feature.

Piped most of my music through them for a year, then I came across a set of Marantz Imperial 8 and Imperial 9's (circa 1974) to hook up to my Vintage Marantz 4300 quad. While the materials were inferior due to there age, these particular antique speakers do rate at the 20hz~20khz response range and are surprisingly crisp and distinct. The MTS's only had bass as a strength over the Marantz, so I use the MTS's as subwoofers. The bass response is good and rumbles my room, at least. On their own, it takes a lot tweaking to get any satisfactory sound out of 'em. My advice, for the money, find some good antique speakers of the 70's (when sound was king) and replace the woofers with something modern to handle the power. Im running Marantz 9's with infinity woofers (60$ each). The drivers and cross overs are quite good. You'll get as good a sound as anything on the market today. Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but hi-fi has always been 20-20 and audio equipment hasn't gotten any crisper or clearer, just a little colder, maybe. PS. You gotta question a company that has to market its product out of the back of a van.

Strength:

Good sound.

Weakness:

Look like sh__.

I too obviously bought a set of towers from two guys in a van in like August. Ive had them for 6 months and have been using them to there fullest and they give me better sound then my Cambridge Soundworks home theater system. I run them through a 125watt/channel high end receiver with a full surround sound set of cambridge rears and sub. I paid like 200 and so far so good(knock on weed, and smoke some wood) Bye the way if anyone wants i bought an entire other system and if someone wants them email me.

Strength:

not bad looking

Weakness:

everything else

My girlfriend at the time came over with these speakers that she bought from "some nice guys in a van" and wanted to know if I wanted to buy them. For $100, what the hell. I've been using them as "B" speakers in my setup and they sounded okay there, but easily made to sound better by the "A" speakers ($1300 Jamo 7.7's) and the 200W Polk sub playing at the same time.

So just now looking through speaker reviews I found this and had to laugh. The reviews here made me go down to my listening room and for the first time, play them ALONE without the expensive "A" speakers or the sub being on at the same time.

I have to laugh again. They're AWFUL! They never sounded good before, but all this time they sounded "okay" since they were always played with the more exspensive speakers being on at the same time. Oh boy. Time to search the 'net for a decent pair of "B" speakers.

PAID LESS THEN MOST

Weakness:

PAID MIN COMPARED TO EVERONE HERE,GOOD BASE FOR TV SURROUND SOUND

WELL I GOT TAKEN IN ALSO. BUT THEY MUST OF MADE A FEW SALES THAT DAY BECAUSE I GOT A PAIR FOR $150 AND I MUST ADMIT THEY SOUND GOOD ON MY SURROUND SOUND BUT I WOULD NOT USE THEM ON MY MAIN STERO. I READ THAT THESE LOW LIFES GET A BONUS FOR HIGHEST TOTAL PCS SOLD SO I GUESS I GOT LUCKY TALKING THEM DOWN FROM $600 TO $150. WHICH SHOULD BE THE MAX YOU SHOULD PAY FOR A PAIR. BEST SCAM I'VE SEEN ESPECIALY THE WEB REVIEWS THAT THEY SET UP FOR THEM SELFS ALONG WITH THE FAKE LISTINGS. IF YOUR NOT LOOKING TO PUMP ALOT OF WATTS IT MAY BE WORTH A SHOT AT $110-150 A PAIR.

Strength:

My ability to be convinced

Weakness:

Having some money to spare

Just researched the Net after purchasing the speakers. Too embarrassed to tell my buddies that I got screwed once again! Just how many speakers a guy can buy from the back of a truck! Its my second pair in 4 years. Quite frankly the AR still sound great and these ones don't sound too bad. I don't own a bar/club so I play them at moderate level...still I got screwed and I now know it!
