Strength:

quality of consruction

Weakness:

very large and heavy

I bought these at Sound Advice. They give you 100% credit if you bring back your speakers in like new condition with the original box within a year of purchase. I started out with KG-4 s and worked my way up. I stopped at the Chorus because it is the best speaker available at any price. I,m not going to go on and on about how great they are like some of the other reviewers. One demo will say it all. If you ever have the chance to buy a pair you will have made the best purchase of your audiophile career. As for me I will never sell mine at any price so don't even ask.

Strength:

Great reproduction of highs and lows

These speakers are awesome. Different people have different listining preferences, however these speakers reproduce sound very well. I owned these speakers for about 7 or 8 years. Just recently I decided to sell them. I rationalized the sell by saying they were too big. I think I was just bitten by the bug and needed to buy something new. I replaced the Chorus II with the Klipsch KLF-20. The KLF-20 is probobly the closest the Chorus II. The Chorus II's sound great and perform well at any volume level. I originally used an Adcom 100 watt amp and now use a Yamaha 110 watt receiver, the Chorus II's ate them up! Their peak power handling is 1000 watts! You'll have a tough time beating them up unless you absolutely abuse them. A great choice. Klipsch will make any speaker you want even though it may not be in production. Check out their website at www.klipsch.com and contact your local dealer.

Strength:

Clear, detailed, deep bass

Weakness:

Bright

I upgraded from Klipsh 105's to the Chorus 2 a couple years ago. These speakers are very good value for the money. I use them with a Carver integrated receiver & a Sony CD player. Detailed, clear & with deep bass. I personally like the Klipsch products because of the horn sound, but sometimes they are too bright. They will, of course, play very loud. Thinking of buying a tube amp to mellow the system out.

Strength:

Clean,full sound. Quality of construction.

Weakness:

Maybe too much bass

This is truly a great speaker. Adding these speakers to your system is a real treat. You will hear things you never have heard before. When listening at a higher volume,I sometimes find myself turning down the volume suddenly. I hear recording errors that I mistake for someone knocking on my door or yelling from someware else in the house.
I have found from my experince that the better the system the better they get (as with most speakers). I originally had them hooked up to a Pioneer Elite reciver and they sounded great. At 100 watts these speakers needed very little volume input to play at a level of "live music". The bass would shake the house! The vocals were crystal clear and life like. The sound stage was broad and very defined. Acoustical guitar tracks are simply awesome. You can hear fingers slidding on the strings and the strings vibrating of the neck. They are now hooked to a complete Carver system. They sound even better. The bass is tighter, wider sound stage and has an overall more dynamic sound. At 250 watts, just a touch of the volume control creates a feeling of the music jumping out at you.
These speakers will benfit any system. They are so sensitive (101 db rating) that even low wattage systems can drive them with low distortion and clean accurate sound.
The only negative(small)I have is they do have a ton of bass. I will be doing some in home testing on a pair of KLF-30's. I'm assuming they will sound similar with less bass. Depending on the outcome,I may be putting my Chorus II's on the market.
