Ive been looking around for some floorstanding speakers that could fit my small price range (100-130 max.). I stumbled across these at bestbuy.com and I need to know if they would be sutible for what i want them for. I am 15 and recently got a new Sony Receiver, .Right now, i am more into listening to music then anything, but going to get into home theather soon as i get more money. I love listening to Metallica and listening to it LOUD. Volume peged all the way. You think these speakers would work? I dont care if there is LITTLE distortion, i just need some speakers that can handle a beating. I am using Sony Bookshelf speakers right now, and they cant give any base if the peices of §hit had too. Anyways.... please tell me if they would work.

bass,treble,price....everthing

none

These speakers are defintely the best bang for the buck.Three of my friends have already gone out and bought the same pair. The bass is very deep and will hit hard!Plus u can turn up the treble and hit painful highs without reducing the bass. And whats really amazing is that these sound better than some speakers that were much more expensive that blew out relatively soon.I was looking for cheap but good speakers and my friend had the 4-way $220 pair but I wasnt ready to spend $220 right now, but these still sound totally awesome.More amazing is how good they sound with my reciever,an old Marantz ST 100.(email me if u have any info on it like power ratings- vipergtr@hotmail.com)Another one of my friends just spent $800 on a pair of similiar Cerwin Vegas and while the do sound a little better they dont sound $700 better and he cant return them now since he waited to long.Oh and if you know alot about recievers plz email me(vipergtr@hotmail.com) I have a newer Yamaha reciever and no sound comes out.I had someone look at it and they said it would cost $115 to fix but I dont want to spend that much.
