Strength:

Don't know

Weakness:

Two guys, seemingly cool, telling me they want to offload extra speakers for beer money to get their boss back. Misuse of alcohol.

I haven't tried the speakers. I am trying to figure out how to get rid of them without ripping anyone else off. I don't know how guys can be such liars. The world sucks.

Strength:

Sound good. I have a nice amp though, so these other jokers may be trying to run the speakers with too little power.

Weakness:

None that I can tell except for the false advertising of the guys that sold them to me. They work fine.

Aside from the shady transaction and a few lies about power amps inside, I hooked these bad boys up to my H/K with 75 watts/channel high current amp and they passed the volume half way up test that my Klipsch's barely pass. I didn't need them, but was made to feel I had to buy them right then or I was a retard. Whatever. I'll sell them and not feel a bit bad. I wouldn't ever expect to hook speakers up to my mini system or computer that are that big and honestly have them sound good.

Strength:

didn't by them

Weakness:

buying them

Haven't actually bought them but thought I'd point out that they are in Australia too... Have been approached a couple of times. Once in townsville about 2-3 years ago and a second time in Brisbane about 2 months ago. The second time I was in a pretty secure area so I thought I'd have some fun with them... told them I loved speakers and really liked looking at different models... once they got the back of the van open they asked why and I said becuase I was an audio engineer and design speakers for a living. look on their face was priceless! needless to say they made a REAL fast exit.

My Back

I got scammed by these two peckers too! Except they must have traded the van in for a white 4Runner. Told me they were picking up 6 speakers, but the guy loaded 6 pairs instead. I haven't hooked them up and think i'd not to avoid the dissappointment. They will be caught. By me...anyone else want to help out...send me any information you have on these guys

I got scammed also by these guy selling DAP SLT 2.8 speaker.
That was in shopping center parking lot. They were in a red suburban, or Yukon style of truck. I called the number on their invoce, and the person who responded was in the game (he told me it's 800usd each)
I paid 350 canadian for the pair. I tought I was doing a good deal until I found nothing on the net concerning that brand (except this forum)

I'll keep the 2 box in my van, if I have to go there again, and if I see them I'll do like if I want some more, and once one of the guy is out of the car, I can't say now what I'm gonna do. I'm 6'4" 275.....

Weakness:

I am always busy

I got the white van scam here in Canada (Brampton). I went out for Wendy's and on way back a guy in a white van started yelling at me about good price good speakers. Anyway, got the whole shabang and due to the fact I was running out of time I said ok. They start with $700.00 a speaker, I said $300.00, but I ment for the pair. Once they figured I ment $300.00 I was hopeing it was going to be over, but no sure enough they came down in price. $450.00 can. I paid, one guy acutally talked his way into my car so we could drive to the bank machine LOL. Seemed really enough. (oh ya I had pepper spray in my pocket, wish now I used it :) So paid them and they left. Pluged the speakers in when I got home and they don't sound that bad, just mad that I paid that much when others have paid way less. Fu-k if I only had more time to play with them. Is this illegal?? So, if they try again can I put the speakers in my car and drive away?? That is what I will be doing. With my pepper spray in my hand :)
Speakers aren't that bad though sound pretty good. At least it isn't an empty box. That was the most expensive hamburger I have ever had!!!

Im sad to say, but I got the scam too, and fell for it. I was filling up at a Conoco gas station in American Fork utah when a blue expedition pulls up. A guy gets out and offers me these great digital speakers. He had the lamenated card and the invoice. I smelled a scam, it was too good to be true. Needless to say, I took em.

These guys are good

Weakness:

I am better

Alright, just to give credit where credit is due: These guys are good...They give a good sell...4 extra speakers than order...their boss will keep them if they don't get rid of them...you will owe us a lot of beer money when you see us, etc...These guys did not know that I was a forensic investigator...I did fall for it and ended up buying a pair for $400 CDN, but here is where it gets interesting...I checked on the web immidiately and found out what they are worth so having the vehicle license plate I got the owner of the "legit" business, name and tel. number and Driver's license number! I tracked them down over two days then took photographs of their warehouse and wired myself...I went in and saw(thousands of DPA SLT 2.8 crap)...I demanded my money or the alternative was to go to my buddies in fraud in Peel region and/or the media with the recorded admission...I got my money back in no time.
