Strength:

Clear and powerfull Sound, comes in 5 different colors, built in woofers

Weakness:

kind of a steep price tag, other than that none.

Good god! When I went to buy some speakers...I thought the choice would be hard. They showed me klipsch, PSB, JBL, B&W, and many other kinds of speakers...but these babies stood clear among the others. They have their own built in sub woofers... and they are quite powerfull so you dont need to buy a seperate subwoofer (but one wouldnt hurt)
The sound these things produced was unrivaled...extremely clear sound. I bought them after listening to them for a while, and i also bought the center IL36 channel, and the IL10 bookshelf speakers. Then i bought the best receiver ever (the denon AVR-4800) a toshiba 5109 DVD player, and a 53 inch sony HDTV...holy crap...the whole system BLEW me away. The IL50's are one of the best sets of speakers you can get (even with the 2000 US price tag) I garuntee that you wont be dissapointed.

Strength:

Sound Clarity and reproduction, excellent bass, powerful full sound.

Weakness:

these speakers have absolutely no weaknesses

These speakers are incredible. I work as an audio sales counselor at Circuit City and hear many high-end speakers all day and NO other speaker at ANY price comes close the the sound of the IL50's. The mid and high range is reproduced clearly and crisply at all volume levels and the tone is rich and full and doesn't sound like it has been adapted. The built in sub's do an excellent job at handling bass, both when used with an LFE line input as well as normal speaker level inputs. I have many side by side comparisons between the IL50's and speakers that cost much more, and each time the IL50's prove themselves to be the best. I would recommend these incredible speakers to anyone. They are incredible for any system- as stereo speakers or as front speakers for a home theater set, nothing sounds better.

Strength:

Crystal clear highs and deep accurate bass.

Weakness:

Bass Optimization controls hard to get at

A must have if you are looking for a speaker with a built in sub. This speaker has great clarity and the bass quality is a large improvement from Infinity's RS-10. The Bass Optimization System allows you to customize the speaker to the room it is in.

Strength:

looks,sound

Weakness:

price at first

what can i say: my wife was the one who saw these 1st.
we were so impressed by the way they sounded in the store after listening to them on a sony de-945(just happens to be the receiver i have)that we had to take a pair of them home.
just to make things even i also brought home a pair of il 10's for my surround and a il 36 center channel.
well... bestill my heart. they produce the cleanest highs, guttsy mids and with the built in subs, they shake while i bake. and i'm the only one that gets distorted.
i likem even with sticker shock(it goes away)
