I must agree with ZOOM, watch out for these!
A friend of mine was virtually accosted by some of these characters riding around in boldly marked vans. They use arguments from "We've just got to get rid of them," to "These are an extra pair from our deliveries." They also show an add from The Absolute Sound magazine showing a retail value of $1,200 and then of course offer something in the neighborhood of half that.

After picking these up, my friend called me over to audition them. FYI, they suck. I think SDA stands for Some Dumb A**! They look okay, have decent bass if you just want general loudness, but absolutely no clarity or balance of sound. Surely not a speaker worth anywhere close to $1200! Maybe more like $100.

My best suggestion of course is to run. They're not technically breaking any laws but it is definitely a scam. If you do get caught, there is still hope. They do have a receipt and number to call within a specified 3 days to request a refund but of course you'll have to drop them off.

The mere fact that the speaker on this site is longer than any other around, touting all kinds of stats, is enough to raise an eyebrow. Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your pets, stay far away, throw in a punch if you can and hopefully spread the truth enough to send them packing.

Of course the single star is the lowest I'm allowed.

THEIR EXISTENCE

Don't be a sucker to these Dynalab snake oil salesmen. I had asked to listen to them and after a brief protest about being in a hurry, they complied. I know this was outside in a van, but I could easily tell that the sound quality was poor. The lows were moderately powerful but very muddy. the mids were almost non-existent and the highs were annoying. I had also asked them to disassemble the cabinents for a look and and they refused with some BS about these are "high end" speakers and that would void the warranty. Of course they didn't remember bragging about how easily the user could service them at the beginning.

These speakers don't even qualify for being in the lowest common denominator mass market category. They are even lower than that.

If you are one of the rare folks who do like the sound, I advise that you go to Wal-Mart or Dollar General Stores first. You'll find better speakers from Yorx, Emerson, or Symphonic for less than $50.00 and that includes the rest of the system.

Bass, looks, hook-ups, highs

Weakness:

can't find a place to get more of them

I bought a pair of these last year for $420 in front of a restaruant. I was sketchy at first but after hooking them up I was glad to pay for them. After playing with my EQ the highs are crystal clear and the bass is awesome. I wonder if some of the posters on this page are even opened up the box and actually listened to them. When I see another Dynalab van around I'm going to flag them down.

Scam

Two guys in a white van tried scamming me to buy a pair of speakers that were "extras" from an already paid for delivery. After showing an ad from the back of some Audiophile magazine with speakers priced at $1,200 they tried to sell them to me for $600. They even offered to follow me to an ATM to get the money. I declined the offer.

The online reviews about this global problem validated that I dodged a clever scam. Thanks for the reviews.

I can't belive I fell for this one. Same van guy story. I hooked them up and the sound was not what I expected. Boomy bass, no mids, sharp highs. I Found this site when searching for a review. My jaw hit the floor. I reached in the port hole and felt the tiny crossover and micro hookup wire.
Luckily, I had a receipt and called the next day. I faxed and sent a copy certified mail. Squeaky put me off for a day but cooperated the next day (probably after recv' mail). I got my money back. What a scam, they all deserve a good blood letting. Thank You Audio Review and all reviewers.

What need is there for censorship? Is there something wrong with someone actually enjoying their deal. I think a good portion of the posters here have never even listened to the speakers! They probably saw this site and panicked. My advise is listen to the dynalabs and compare them to other speakers connected to a similar reciever. Then decide, then post here.

Strength:

Can you tell man from man, right from wrong, dispute your own estate? In other words ... ARE YOU CRAZY?!

Weakness:

Takes up space in the trash can.

Don't buy them. Don't violate yourself, your manhood (or womanhood). To those that earn minimum wage, these will cost you one week's pay, 40 hours of sweat. For what, for those low-life pushers to laugh at you when they sit back into their van, for you to haul home a pile of firewood (except we use gas now). I object to those reviews below that, as self-consolation, assess these speakers to be "actually worth" $100 or $150: If you would not have bought them knowing what they really were, then their worth to you is actually ZERO -- because they are not what you want. Fight back! Fight for your lives! Or you would have just sweated and got ordered around (by your boss or customers, whatever the case may be for 40 hours for someone's else's big laugh.

I too was sold speakers from a salesman in a van. However, I really do like the sound of them and for what I paid they are an outstanding value.
