Looking at the reviews I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT I TOO HAVE BEEN SOLD THESE SPEAKERS IN THE SAME FASHION. 2 GUYS IN A DYNALAB VAN SOLD ME THSES SPEEKERS FROM A VAN TELLING ME THAT THEY WERE AN OVER DELIVERY AND THAT THEY WANTED TO SELL THEM FOR THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF TAKING THEM BACK TO THEIR OFFICE WHERE THEIR BOSS WOULD ONLY SELL THEN HIMSELF. I PAID £550.00 FOR A PAIR. HOWEVER, I AM ACTUALLY QUITE HAPPY WITH THE SOUND FROM MINE, BETTER THAN THE ONES I USED BEFORE AND THEREFOR I DON'T FEEL CHEATED.

Note - in the US there are laws that protect consumers against direct marketing ploys such as this. By law you have three days to cancel your transaction and receive your money back. It worked for me - all money returned.

I too was approached by these Marketers on wheels. I told them to stick it! I'm glad I did. I wonder how much commission they make on speakers that cost 50 cents to make!

Strength:

better than my old cheap boxes

Weakness:

rip-off sales scam

I did the white van thing a few months back, and unfortunately checked these reviews a week later. All the reviews back then were negative. amazing how in the last month or so a bunch of 5 star reviews show up. Guess the scamers are trying to use this site for some PR spin control.
Anyway my thoughts after using these boxes for a few months (by the way I paid $250/pair): Highs are there but rather harsh and mechanical, mids are lacking big-time or nonexistent, lows fair but pretty muddy. Positioning, amp, source material help some. Sensitivity is pretty low. The cabinet looks pretty nice and is rather solid (which is what they sell you on at the van). Not to bad a deal for say $200, but you guys that payed $800+, too bad. I wish I hadn't fallen into it and had gotten the Super Ones I was considering.

Strength:

Plenty of iniformed buyers to prey on.

Weakness:

Seeing the customer again after he finds out he was ripped off.

After a friend of mine asked me about them I have kinda followed this sight to give him updates. Unfortunately he had already been ripped off for 2 pairs at $800 each.
One update that I'd like to a is in the lated issue of What HiFi magizine (Oct.?) they issue a warning about this scam. They even got a pair and tested them out.
They claim no internal bracing, terrible crossover, terrible speakers ect. Resulting in a boomy, resonant mess.
Please spead the word, it makes me sick that people could have actually gotten decent speakers for this price.
As for the 5 star post on this speaker. Give me a break, it looks like the crooks at dynalab have check in on this sight and tried to beef up the avg. rating.
Funny this is, They were the ones that created this item in the review section to begin with. When I first found out about them I looked here and "somebody" had put in the exhausting discription but left no review. I then put the first review in to let people know what was going on. I checked back about a month later and there was about 30 reviews, all saying the same thing. I don't understand why this doesn't show up in the "Hall Of Shame" section though?

Hey what gives? I posted a nice long review of these speakers last week and now it's gone. Other reviews that were posted before mine are still here though. I think these speakers are pretty good, although I admit selling them out of a van with some stupid story about "getting
too many" is a little suspicious. I like mine and I
could've returned them for a refund, but I didn't.

Brand new, out of the box I paid $360 for my pair.
They are well built and sound great with my receiver.
They could use a little more midrange though. I'm happy
I bought mine!

Everything

These items are composed of $15 cheap speakers, and below standard electronics. Take them apart and see for yourself. I have been watching this organization for the last few months for fraudelent sales and have seen many people get ripped off by a sales pitch like, "we just got done installing a sound system at a restaurant, and we have these extra speakers we want to get rid of for dirt cheap, they cost $1000+ a set, but you can take them for $300 a pair!". They try to fool you into thinking your getting very good audio speakers at the cost of their employer. In reality, you are doing as their employer wants, RIP THE PERSON OFF. These people that pop out of a van know that they are getting anything over $50 for each speaker(confidential information)so, depending on the person you speak with, these speakers probably have the ability to toast bread. They will tell you ANYTHING to make you believe that this deal is too good to let go, and that you are ignorant for passing it up!

Selling speakers outside of a van means ripoff. The speaker specs are misleading. You can make a piece of sandpaper sound good with marketing to people that do not know the terminology.

If you bought these speakers, take them back. If they do not offer a FULL refund, goto the better business bureau @ www.bbb.com. Fill out a complaint(only takes one minute).
If you want to take it one step futher, goto the federal trade commission and file a complaint there too.

We as a society need to take a stand against dishonest people as this.

I will personally direct a policeman towards any van selling these speakers. They WILL go to jail. I am sure the IRS is interested in their side sales as well.
