Strength:

Good Bass, Clean sound, great allround speaker, price

Weakness:

None considering the price

I just bought the Dali 606 and is unsing them together with a NAD C340 amp, wich is a great combination by the way. The Dali's sure give a good bang for the buck. Considering the price I would recommaned theese speakers to anyone looking for a great allround speaker. The bass is clean and quite powerfull despite the realtively small elements (2 X 6,5")

Great buy!

Strength:

Solid bass, clear sound with much detail

This summer I decided to buy a new stereo set when I was caught by the DVD-virus.

My old Kenwood set with Philips FB670 speakers just didn't cut it anymore. The stereo equipment wasn't the problem, but the speakers would be, as my music collection is very varied.

I went RAF Amsterdam to buy the new set, and after a short discussion with a sales person I was put up in a listening room with the speakers I mentioned above under "Similar product used".

After listening to the CD's I had brought with me the choice was obvious to me. It had to be Dali, because their speakers delivered details I never heard before. The bass is very solid and deep (no need for a subwoofer), the highs are very good and clear, even when turning up the volume.
I decided to go for the Dali Blue Series 606 because of it sounded more full than the Dali Suite 3.5.

I never regretted the decision to buy the Dali 606. When they finally were standing is my living room and everything was connected, it was sheer pleasure when listening to my music collection.
Even with DVD the sound is very good. I don't even need a subwoofer.

Strength:

Great bass response, midrange and tweeter.

Weakness:

None for the money. You can get better sound quality for the money, like B&W DM602S2.

I wanted some new qualities speakers, so I went to the Danish high quality store the Hi-Hi Club. There I heard the B&W DM604s2, wow man these sounded really great, but I found them to be to expensive. I wanted some speakers with a good bass response, soundstage and music happiness, like everyone else, so I gave the Dali Blue series a listen. First I heard the Dali 909, don’t recommend them, they where generally to slow and the midrange didn’t have the soundstage and music happiness I loved from the B&W’s. Then I heard the Dali 808 they where faster in the bass but had the same problem in the midrange as the Dali 909. Last but certainly not least the dealer showed me Dali 606. They had a great bass response, like the Dali 808’s but the Dali 606’s turned out to be even faster, I liked that. I simply had when the bass is muddy, and it just says bom, bom, bom. Good gets even better, the Dali 606 had even more to deliver. There Soundstage was much better then the Dali 909, Dali 808, maybe that’s because of there two 6,5” midrange drivers. Well I liked there sound, but it wasn’t as good as the DM604 from B&W. The B&W’s really had the ability to make even dance music sound lively, but that’s another review.

After I had listened to the Dali 606 for along time, the dealer demonstrated them together with the Dali SW-A12 subwoofer in a surround setup, I just couldn’t help my self. I bought both the Dali 606 and the Dali SW-A12, so it turned out to bee nearly as expensive as the B&W DM604S2, but anyway I like my 3 new speakers. And the B&W’s also needed a good Hi-Fi system to suit them well and that costs to.

Strength:

Clean bass, very detailed mid- and highrange. Perfect for accoustic music as jazz, blues, soul, classical, pop, metal etc.

Weakness:

None that I have noticed yet.

I use these speakers for MUSIC and HOME CINEMA.

MUSIC
The 606 is rich in delivering details. You hear details that you hardly can hear with other speakers in the same price class and over. The Bass is clean and strong.

HOME CINEMA
I use...
Front speakers: Dali 606
Center speaker: Dali SC5
Surround speakers: Dali 150 Menuet
Subwoofer (active) directly connected to the amp: Cerwin-Vega LW15X

The Dali 606 is stunning in providing minute details of films; rain forest raindrops, paper wrinkling, monster teeth squeaking, fire crackle, bug crawlings etc. I also use a subwoofer directly connected to the amp, but it is not really necessary because the bass of the 606 is enough. The 606's bass is heavy but perhaps too precise, clean and distinct for movies. It goes down to 42hz according to the manual, but if you want a somewhat deeper and rumbling bass to enhance movie sound effects you might get a subwoofer.

These speakers costed me SEK 4600. But the sound is worth at least twice as much. There is no doubt that the Dali 606's should have the highest gradings.

I have listen to many similar speakers at the stores and in friends sound systems. I.e. too many to mention.

Strength:

Solid and accurate bass, beautiful midrange, crispy and detailed highs, cool looks....

Weakness:

Maybe highs are little bright (Not for me)

Awesome speakers in this price range. With these speakers you will hear the details that you have never heard before. From now on i will stick with the DALI Brand. Really quality speakers.
