Smooth midrange and highs. Very clean sound. I dislike bandpass subwoofers because they have inferior sound quality and cover less of the total range of bass frequencies. Reasonably loud with good construction. Pretty good price and best-of-any-company 10-year warranty. |

I found them to be "tinny" and harsh. |

Duke, I own the ensemble II and they sound great. There are better sounding, but for overall quality and value, hard to beat! |

These have a good soundstage, clean midrange, and smooth highs. Despite the bandpass design, the sub sounds quite musical and can play moderately loud. Sub/sat crossover is a little high, so put the sub near the satellites. Great warranty (10 years) and aggressive price. Also, these have excellent power-handling ability and sound quite natural with a good receiver. Bravo! |

I am surprised that so many people in this group gave II such good comments. I auditioned one last week, and found dissapointed(maybe because I had read so many good reviews about it) |

Have had the New Ensemble II for 2 weeks now. My impressions are: Great highs and mediums, crisp bass, but lacks the true room shaking bass of even moderately priced full size bass reflex speakers. However, I like the convenience of the tiny satellites and they sound great for the vast majority of my music, as well as part of my home theater setup. Since I'm not 20 years old anymore, I find little need to shake the house these days. |

I just upgraded my 18 year old stereo system with a CSW New Ensemble II Home Theater system for around $700.00 which included shipping. They sound great. I am pleased. I also purchased a Technics receiver/decoder system that give my speakers absolutely superb sound. For the money they are worth it. |

I replaced a pair of JBL CF120's with these, or rather my wife did, since she bemoaned the lost floor space to the JBLs. I purchased the home theater setup and included a Sony receiver (DTR715). I am more than pleasantly suprised. These speakers rival the JBLs in sound and surpass them in clarity. They arewithout a doubt the best speakers I have ever listened to. This is my first home theater, and I have been real pleased with the difference in sound quality on moveies, although I suspect I should upgrade my VCR and purchase a DVD player. As far as music goes, these speakers are fantastic. They are clear and |
