Strength:
Well made, looks good, sounds very clean with a touch of clarity, Bi-wireable, produce loud sounds without distortion
Weakness:
None at the moment This is one good speaker that produces very clean and accurate sounds. Though the bass is a little lacking, as most the of the other reviews have mentioned, I find it to be just right for my taste. Voices are also well refined, with the use of the Kevlar technology, not to mention it looks good with the grills off. Found this baby for a bargain at that time, though other stores here in the Philippines are still selling it for much higher than the amount I paid for. Overall, this is a highly recommended set of speakers. One will not go wrong with the purchase of B&W speakers. Similar Products Used: Auditioned Polk, B&W, JBL, Energy, Mission speakers |

I am new to hifi thing. Several weeks ago, I was considering buying a Bose Acoustmas Speakers because I thought they were the best. Oh boy, how close I was to buying the Bose. Luckily, I found this website and asked alot of advice from people. Anyway, I began to explore beyond Circuit City and found out how terrible the Bose really are. I ended up with these B&W 603. These are the best sounding speakers that I heard in the 800 dollars price range. The high is so smooth and clean. The mid is absolutely gorgeous. The low is very good, more than the 602 but the 603 costs only 250 dollars more. If you want an excellent speaker pair for the price, this is it. Highly recommanded. |

I've owned and regrettably sold many expensive and fine speaker systems. From Tannoy to Thiel(which I loved) to Snell A's. I did all this before getting married and poorer. So I set out to find a moderately priced speaker system I could live with. My big Maggies were seriously damaged in a move, and I couldn't afford to replace them. My local dealer had the B&Ws so I gave them a listen and was impressed with their balance and soundstage. I tried the 602s but the bottom end was missing. So I took them back and paid the difference for the 603s and have been in love since. I find myself enjoying the music more than I ever. These speakers are musical. Highs are extended but never harsh. The bottom end comes in with near perfect balance. Voices are breathtaking and the imaging is precise. The longer I live with them the more I like them. |

I've owned these speakers,...I actually hate them now,...the bass is horrible,...and after having lived with them I still have nightmares . They do a lot right, so I won't rate them low, but I'd never own them again . |

I am a audio enthusiast from General Santos City, Philippines. Recently, I bought a pair of DM 603 thru my friend's advise and consultation. It was a big surprise for me when I heard for the first time the Med range is near perfect, bass is so deep I don't even use my sub anymore when playing music. My new receiver ONKYO TX-DS838 is a great partner of DM 603. I am so happy for it. It's worth the price! |

I bought a pair of 603 two months ago. The sound is really good, bass is perfect and in combination with my YAMAHA 992 and MIT cables the sound is perfect. . |

This speaker is worthy for audition. I have owned a pair for half a year now and have fallen in love with them.... The bass is well controlled with my Rotel RSP6000 and RB980 preamp-amp combination. The mid is really sweet. They are doing very well on classical, vocal, pops.... Highly recommend them for those who love music! |

603 are good priced speakers that is easy to work on. But I don't think is an audiophile speakers, it sounds too bright and tight on high end equipments. If you are looking for a pair of speakers that is all rounder and good budget , a perfect choice. But if you are looking at some technical superiority, try the Matrix series or the P series from B&W. |

i've owned the P5's, better model than this (which i have also listened a lot), and both suffer from the same problem; yes: boom, boom, tizz, tizz. Unsoportable tzz, tizz, to be precise. And very hot-spotted speakers; don't move your head a couple of inches, 'cause you will loose the soundstage. But they do make a lot of thing OK, like good tone, nice mid's, tight sound. Not totally bad. I've changed them for the much, much better Castle Howard (closer to heaven, folks!) |
