Okay, I must be the biggest BOZO of all time. I too was approached by two young guys telling me the same story bout how they had to sell these speakers or their boss is going to fire them. Give me a catolog showing the retail price $2000, opened up the box and showed me how big of a sub, tweeter, etc the speakers had. I asked how much...they said how much do you want...being unknowledgable about speakers and taking the factor of the retail price they showed me... I said "$300". They agreed...and told me..okay..one speaker for $300...so two would be a total of $600....don't worry...there's no tax on top. So I got tricked..and went to ABM machine and got the money. Came online to research about the new set of speakers I just bought, and this realized I'm victim #90,229,071,857 Guess I learned my lesson.

Scam!!

I have the same story as everyone here. I was in Austin at a car wash and the guy pulled up to me in a Black Explorer Sport. He said his name was Joe Daugherty (white guy, glasses, goatee). I ended up paying $220 for a pair. I do have the guys license plate and cell. phone #. E-mail me if you want them and I'll be happy to give them to you. I may call him up, tell him how happy I am with them and see if he'll sell me more (which I will try to purchase by check) ;-)

Let's see... 2 of them. They did the typical "we had 8, but now we have 4 extra" thing, and I fell for that. They had a white car. And they wanted 250 for a pair. I lost 220 for speakers that everyone else (what I've read) are crappy. Well... that's life I suppose. NO one's ever gonna catch these guys cuz no one ever finds out about this crap until it's too late! Oh yeah... one of those guys likes ICP. And they did their stupid, "I gotta get back to my boss" stunt. If you're reading this, you're probably already screwed. At least I didn't lose any more than that.
