Strength:

Picture clarity, dolby digital sound, superb audio while listening to cd's.

Weakness:

None

This is the first DVD player I've owned and I am very pleased with its performance. I normally rent 2-3 DVD's a week so I have a pretty good feel for this products abilities and so far I've been very happy. Listening to audio CD's is great as well. A definite improvement over my old single play Sony. What I can't understand is all the negative reviews this product has received. For all of you out there who have trashed this product GET A LIFE! I would be willing to bet you that if you were to go to an audio store and compare this product with the Sony DVD changer
not knowing which product was which you would not be able to tell the difference. Who knows maybe you would pick the Panasonic over the Sony. So whatever your little beef is with Panasonic get over it! Why don't you submit reviews
on products you have actually owned instead of making up
false ones. In closing, Anybody out there who is in the market for a DVD changer and doesn't want to spend a fortune this would be an excellent choice. Got mine For $399.00 6 months ago and you can probably pick one up for less now. Don't let all those negative reviews scare you off. This is a great product at a very reasonable price.

My system consists of: Onkyo TX-DS676 receiver
Panasonic DVD-C220
Dish Network 500 system with dolby
digital output.
Magnavox Hi Fi VCR
Cambridge SoundWorks New Ensemble 3
Cambridge SoundWorks Bass Cube 8 Sanyo 27" TV (soon to be upgraded to 36" with component
video inputs)

Strength:

5 disc;versatile.

Weakness:

Not a great cd unit

My sony wsa crap. Got too hot causing tracking problems. I tried the Panasonic @ 200.00 and it has outperformed the Sony. The composite video is good to great, Can't beat it for the price

Weakness:

Can't make copies to VHS tapes
Cant update for new option by loading new software.

I own a DVD rom and decoder card and get S video and AC3 output. Can copy movies to VHS through several programs easily found on the net which bypass macrovision and allows me to change regions any time. This is by far the best solution and can be picked up for under $150. The only weakness is that I have to keep my computer close to my TV and stereo.
