Remote to machine is hard to navigate.

After a month's use, the remote would play tricks on you, and not respond correctly with the action you wanted it to command. Furthermore, after partially watching "Dead Poets Society", i had to stop it so i can watch the rest later. Upon return, i wasn't able to turn the machine on AT ALL. The remote wouldn't work, and when un-plugging it, then plugging it in again, NOTHING HAPPENED. So, searching for the instructions, for some reason i could not find them. I think that in all honesty that someone from Oritron came to our house, broke the dvd machine, took the instructions, and cancelled their website so i couldn't complain. My nephew told me that something happened where a password is needed to turn the machine back on. Password? I think Oritron should get out of business if equipment like this is mass marketed in the manner where their product just does not work, or not up to the buyer's standards. I had to literally take the machine apart in order to get the dvd back, and i just trashed it. Losing the money is of no importance to me, as i can just buy another one, but i am concerned about how Oritron handles their business, as they are difficult to track down to make a complaint. Just do yourself a favor, spend a little more money when it comes to something like this. It is an investment, not a toy, like this dvd player. It almost bounces when thrown out the window!

no time display. remote has stupid icons instead of words next to most of the buttons.

i wasn't planning on buying a dvd player until i saw the oritron advertised in the paper. this dvd player is great. so far, i watched blade runner, perfect storm, klumps, transformers the movie, shining, and xmen. it played them all w/o problems. picture and sound are decent. if only this dvd player had a time display. the next model up does for an extra $40.

Only used this product about 12 times and it quit. Oritron only has a 90 day warranty and they don't repair their products. Why should they, they have your money and you have a product that doesn't work.

All the stores that originally sold this product have quit selling it because of problems. Do not buy this product, unless you like throwing away your money!
