System:
Onkyo DXC330 (CD)
Marantz PM-68 (Pre/main)
XLO E-5 (interconnect)
PSB Stratus Gold (Speakers)

It is amazing what this wire has done to this rather Boxy sounding system. The Stratus is biwired. I attributed the dull sound mostly to the ONKYO. However once I put this cable into the package the system seemed to spark to life.

After a brief break in period, the silver gives it a nice detailed zip, but it is not harsh by any means. I tried out the Van Den Hul Cleartrack, as well as some cable by Linn and Naim. These are to be a great buy at the price. Detailed, but soft.

Strength:

Bass, mids, highs and built quality.

I was using QED Qnec2 before this product from VDH. Sonically its superior in terms of bass depth and clarity overall. Drums especially sounds fuller than the QED. At 3 times the price of the Qnec2, it is definitely not triple the reward. The Qnec2 is perhaps the cream of the crop at its price, VDH wins handsdown for a bigger bite at the buck.
Well worth trying, more obvious reap at the pre power section than from CD to pre in my setup.

Strength:

Smooth, transparent, very deep bass

Weakness:

Lack a bit of dynamics

Ok, the search is over, after getting my pair of VDH D102MKIII(I love them), I decided to change my speaker cables to the CS122 as well to create a VDN synergised system. WOW, great cables I would said, all the treble harshness I want experience are alll out of the window!! Sweet and smooth treble, couple with a lush and warma midrange covered by a deep deep bass....what can I say...

Brillaint!!!!

Pretty good for the price. The detail blows away cheap monster cable. Hybrid design allows the carbon to relax harshness while the silver brings out the detail. It has been a while since I used this cable so I can't comment much more. Of course, my XLO Type 6 which replaced it was faster and cleaner (also over twice the price). The good thing is this is sold in bulk.

I am glad I have chossen a right cable for my system. I like the clearity and openness of how its sound. It is very compatible with my set up. I also enjoy to the smoothness of the vocal and very detail bass. At the connection point, no fancy cable lug or any plug is used. Applying a layer of high silver/tin contain solder paste coating is sufficient.

At this price, this is a very fine made cable. But, still, readers is adviced to audition your favourate music before make a decision and don't blame ANYONE because this is not your taste.

Sorry to those who make a wrong choice on the wrong system at your wrong taste. We sense your hopeless voice, but our readers still more than happy to share our opinion.

Weakness:

Didn't find any...well maybe the colour (again)

First of all I'm using the 4-lead version of this cable called the Teatrack.

I was blown away by this cable, the sheer transparancy of this cable is absolutly stunning. The soundstage is deep and wide. The bass (deep without booming), mid and high (Razorsharp) are perfectly balanced.
It was a major improvement for me. Recordings like Waters "Amused To Death" sound so deep and wide, it sometimes gets scary.

In combination with the other VDH products I use (The First Ultimate and D102III) I've achieved a well balanced, deep and realistic soundstage.

The only negative thing I could think of might be the price, 17 US$ per meter isn't really cheap.

Kenwood KA-7090R int. amp.
Kenwood DP-5090 CD player
Kenwood DMF-9020 MD player

These cables are truly a bargain, the construction and quality of materials (conductors and insulation) is firt rate. The sound is excellent, and within their price range you will be hard pressed to find out something only near to the performance of this cable. Give the cable a couple of weeks to break down.

I'm kinda different from the most of you. I'm a guitar player and have a nice 19" rack with all tube gear (Mesa/Boogie). And because I do not want to loose my precious tube sound I've used Van Den Hul D-102 III for all connections and the CS-122 as speaker cable.

And the difference between the CS-122 and my pretty good custom made 14.5 gauge speaker cable is amazing. The bass is soo much deeper and clearer it's really amazing. Overall the sound was much more detailed and more relaxed.

I can only HIGHLY recommend these for all guitar and bass players, cause they are really amazing.
