    Strength:

    everything

    Weakness:

    None, None, None

I am not big in interconnects. I believe that speaker cables are much more important, however, these IC's really make a tremendous difference. Right out of the box and WHAM!!!! Very impressive. I am going to try their speaker cables next. You can still get them at a much reduced price because of the fact they are from Australia, and like myself, you can be a little leary, but I took the chance and am very glad I did. 45 day money back deal.

    Strength:

Natural Sound with extended Bass & Hi End. THe company is great to deal with. A bargain compared to other cables of lesser quality and higher prices.

    Weakness:

Cable very stiff, use caution when installing. It is sure worth the extra effort.

I use the yellow interconnect between my amp/pre-amp. I did a A & B test with the cable I had been using, a Monster 950 I. I installed the TMC cable so that I could burn it in for a couple hours. I played a tape in my Nakamichi deck for the burn in session, but had no intention to use tape for the listening test. SURPRISE & DELIGHT, I was paying little attention to the music at this point but the sound stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that I was hearing the top end far beyond what I had ever heard from that deck ever before. I tried a couple other tapes of very high quality and to my amazement, the upper end extension is at least 2000 Hz beyond what I though the deck was capable of. The CD I used for the serious listening test was " Trumpet Spectacular. " Doc Severinsen and the Cincinnati, Ohio Pops Orchestra. This is a very high quality recording made at Music Hall, excellent acoustics, in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am also very familiar Doc, having covered him live on several occasions and I have been to Music Hall in Cincy many times. Well, it's all been said before in other reviews I have read, but this cable is amazing.
The LOW END is deeper, richer, with fantastic clarity. The Monster 950 I is not in the same league. The Monster's base while deep, it lacks the definition and it booms at you. The MID-RANGE is outstanding. I can hear something I have never heard before on any system. At one point in the recording, I can hear saliva flowing through Doc's horn. I know that sound well, I have blown lots of saliva out the spit valve, in my life. Your yellow cable is almost neutral, it does not add or take away anything, just plain honest, in my opinion. The High End extends more then ever before on my system and what a pure sound. This cable is a remarkable achievement, my JBL Professional Studio Monitors have never sounded so good before. Oh yes, I want to mention I now have a wider sound stage then ever before and the depth also amazing. This cable has Slain the Monster!

    Strength:

Greatest sound stage I have ever heard. Clarity is just stunning.

    Weakness:

Difficult to bend, but worth every grunt!!

Let me start by saying I was in no way influenced to write this review. I installed the yellow lable cables in my car. I taught it sounded pretty good. As they were difficult to bend I removed them and went with a cheaper brand, Audiobahn professional series. I could not believe the diiference in the sound. I even in stalled a pair of the white labels cables. I must tell you there was no comparison. The yellow label cable opens up your music like you would not believe. Here is the kicker. I have and adcom GCD-575 cd player with a Mt500 carver amp, JBL L7 towers. Beleive it or not my car stereo sounds better than my home stereo!!!! I cant imagine want will happen when I upgrade to some CDT audio components. These cables get what ever rates above an A+, Superior!! I am not a professional writer so I hope my reveiw stays!!

    Strength:

Very musical, large soundstage, sweet midrange, big bass

    Weakness:

    Lack of focus & resolution

This is a surprisingly good cable for its price. It is one of the most musical cables I have ever used. It produces a large sound stage, a very sweet midrange and a big bass. I suspect the midrange is a bit exaggerated (in a nice way) and the big bass sounds a bit loose (in a tolerable way). The soundstage is large, but it is not the most precise. For a mid-level system, this cable can be a very competent choice and will sound better than many more expensive cables. But if you are looking for precision, definition and detail, you will probably need to look elsewhere and spend more...quite a bit more.

    Strength:

    soundstage, clarity, balance, value

    Weakness:

It will take a little practice to get good and connecting them to gear because of their stiffness, and you need some room behind equipment for them.

I bought these less than a month ago, planning to use them on an amplifier I just added to my system. Before I got the amp, I used them between my CD changer and receiver, comparing them to Monster Interlink 400 Mk II's (no comparison to the other cables used, but it was what I'd been using for years), TMC White Label (see my review of the TMC White Labels, which I also experimented with between VCR and receiver and as a digital coax cable from my DVD player), and a pair of Magnan Type Vi's. The White Labels did a good job, but when compared to the Type Vi's and the Yellow Labels they seemed a bit "hollow" (for lack of a better word). The Type Vi's and Yellow Labels are both great cables, but I was surprised to find that they Yellow Labels sounded better to me on my gear than the Type Vi's did -- the balance of bass, mids, and highs was more even with the Yellow Labels, whereas the Type Vi's seemed to be a little bass-heavy on my system.

The Yellow Labels have temporarily moved to the main channels of my new five-channel amp, and the Magnans are back on my CD changer, but I am about to buy some more Yellow Label for the CD changer and possibly the center channel amplification and digital coax from the DVD player. Great cable, at a great price.

    Strength:

Bass, mids, depth of soundstage, no colouration

    Weakness:

A little bit stiff but manageable

By accident I went to the Audiocom page and read the reviews about the TMC cables. I was so convinced while reading the reviews that I decided to go at the auction for a pair of speaker cables as well as the white and yellow cables taking into account the "money back" gurantee!
TMC provided an outstanding service in communication (a thing which is rare in these days!) where you really felt being treated like a customer.
Two weeks later the cables arrived and when unpacking I was impressed by the outfit. They look like exotic posionous snake skin. I started with the speaker cable and emmideatley noticed a far deeper bass and they played well at lower volumes. Then I connected the yellow`s and after the white. Knowing that cable (my oppinion) need some burn in time I let my equipment play day and night. After about 48 - 60 hours I noticed a remarkable improvement. My feet were tapping, musicians where in my listening room, not only present but also like their instruments were on the stage. When closing my eyes I was absolutely impressed. No addition of colouration, the sound was so real you could touch it. The balance between the hights, bass and mids was perfect and the soundstage like 3 D.
I can only recommend to buy these cables. For the prices you can`t get anything better. Recently I tried a combination of more expensive cables (in the US $ 2.200 range) and noticed only some minor improvements. So again... believe my recommendations and believe TMC`s statement: "listening can be addictive!"

Imaging, transparency, palpability, richness, clarity, overall performance, value

    Weakness:

    None

Used between amp and preamp, this is one of the best interconnect i ever tried. The sound is almost perfectly neutral with a hint of warmth through the mids. Both bass and treble are well extended. Image is very open with excellent clarity and focus. The solid shielding is very effective (very quiet and clean sound). Compared to the Tmc White, the Yellow is slightly richer through the mids, adding slightly more presence and palpability. The-music-cable people have found an excellent design with eliminated the skin effect problem. They are also nice to deal with. With dh labs and pure silver sound, they figure on my best interconnects value short list.

    Strength:

    quiet background, bass

    Weakness:

    too stiff, squashed sound

Having upgraded my 2 channel system to a “high-end” system (compared to what I originally had) I decided to try the new cable route (new to me anyway) so I recently went on a cable binge. I borrowed several cables from friends in the West Valley Audio Society over an extended period of time. They all convinced me that one of the new small shops was the way to go, and to stay away from the big boys (my first stuff was all Monster, agh!!) My new system is as follows:

    Bryston 7B ST Monoblocks
    Bryston BP-25 Pre-amp
    Sony SCD-777ES SACD Player
    Joseph Audio RM25si Signature speakers

Let me give a synopsis of all the cables I tried:

TMC White – These cables are very stiff and hard to work with, but I managed. I guess there is a difference in design philosophy out there. The TMC cables are very well shielded, maybe too well shielded. While they have a low noise floor, they have a low dynamic capability too. The music seemed squashed and flattened. Crescendos to fortissimo and beyond where not very dramatic. They do sound better than my old Monster 950is and are cheaper too. I also did not like the WBT knock off connectors, they are better than the monster “pull your female RCA jack off” connectors, but they seem cheap. Rating 3

TMC Yellow – These were a little better than the Whites, with better dynamics, but still squashed. The lows were a little less squashed than the high in my opinion, giving them a bloom in the bass, which some people may like. They are even stiffer than the whites and have the same cheap RCA connectors. Both TMC cables were capable, and as I look back on the other reviews I notice a lot of receivers and A/V receivers. Due to the limited dynamic capabilities of lower and mid end systems these cables are fine for this equipment. However, there are better and less expensive alternatives out there. Rating 3.5 - 4

Homegrown Audio silver interconnects - These are a great bargain at $80. They have the opposite philosophy of TMC, no shielding. This let the music flow more easily than the TMC yellows and greatly increased the dynamics. The high end still seems a little rolled off. I have heard none of the brightness people say you get with pure silver, maybe they were suing silver plated copper (which is why I stayed away from Nordost and DH Labs) My other complaints are the same cheap WBT knock off connectors as the TMC and the build quality. Rating 4

Pure Silver Sound silver interconnects - These are almost twice the price of the Homegrown silver interconnects, but in my opinion well worth it. They are also unshielded, which seem to be fine at the lengths I borrowed (1 meter). They were even clearer than the HG without the rolled off highs. The bass sounded tighter too, very fast and not bloomy. The build quality was excellent and the WBT knock-offs must be a different brand, they look better and are silver-plated (I never understood why companies that make silver products would use gold plated connectors) I am now a firm believer in silver. Rating 5

Thanks for the great forum, I am off to buy some cables for myself.

    Strength:

Great soundstage, very precise sound, and overall build quality is great

    Weakness:

    Just darn too stiff

Would like to let everyone know that these are fantastic interconnects as far as sound goes. Great reproduction of the source, great fidelity and beautifully made.

But they are just too stiff. They are impossible to manage correctly. If your elements are too close together you will need lots of room behind to accomadate the extra length. So these interconnects are good ONLY if the distance between your elements are EXACTLY the same as their length. Otherwise, good luck.

    A real pity.

    Strength:

    spectacular sound reproduction

    Weakness:

stiffness - be sure to read directions before installing

I've always been very proud of my Infinity Renaissance Speakers. For years, audiophile friends have been extremely complimentary. Besides their overall musicality, transparency and imaging have been been their stongest points. Now, having installed TMC yellows and whites to my system, I can easily add soundstaging. In fact, I'm not sure if I really appreciated what soundstaging truly meant before. Now, I most certainly do. I could swear that I'm
surrounded by the different instruments. I could easily go on and on about these cables. But, why repeat what everyone else says before me. Very simply, these TMC interconnects will be bring out the best your system has to offer. You might even need to upgrade your system to reach the full potential these cables have to offer.
And I need to add that the customer service is beyond good. King at TMC is amazing. It's a pleasure doing business with a company that not only offers a great product
but also backs it up 100%.
