This is about the speaker cable, 15' single-wire, not bi. Actually, I tried the Terminator 4 biwire in my system and didn't like it. Felt I was losing detail and articulation. I own Martin Logan Aerius i's, and the M-L people advised me to spend my cable money on better wire, not bi-wire, saying I'd hear better detail and soundstaging with the single-wire setup. To be honest, I'm in a transition period right now and the speakers were the first components to change. I'm driving them with an 18-year-old Hafler amp and NAD preamp, which I intend to upgrade when I have the money. I was looking for cables that would make the system listenable in the meantime.
These cables are doing the job. Impactful, tightly focused bass (from a speaker that's not supposed to have great bass). Good, natural articulation. For example, you can hear the p's and t's at the end of words as you do in normal speech, without the magnifying glass effect of some highly detailed systems. Nice separation between instruments, decent soundstaging. Good low-level detail. Instruments seem to have natural timbre and body. If there's any coloration with these cables, I think it's a slight sweetening of the midrange, as if there were tubes in the system. I can live with that. If my eventual upgrades include tubes, I might prefer another cable. But for now, I'm very happy with these.

I should mention that I also put the MIT 330 Plus interconnects between my pre and power amps and like them also. They had a kind of "veil-lifting" effect, simultaneously reducing high-end glare and letting more detail come through.

On an absolute basis, the T2s might rate 4 stars because of the slightly sweet coloration, which will probably help many SS systems anyway. But considering the price (I paid $260 or so because of a promotion), they're outstanding. Don't tell me that cables don't make a difference. This was like changing my amplification, for a fraction of the price.

I purchased MIT-2 speaker cables a couple of weeks ago and at first i found thesound warm but at times not very appealing , although there was a change for the
better from my previous bright neotech cables. After breaking-in the cables for
two weeks I have discovered that this cable indeed works! Music has body and soul! I recomend to all listeners especially for mid to high-end sytems that
may sound a bit bright.

Weakness:

black box at base; long break in period

These cables are sensational for the price. They are intended as 'Home Theater' quality, but are far above that somewhat ordinary sound quality.

They furnish incredible detail and a wide sound stage. All music, jazz, country, classical, folk, r&b and rock are enhanced by these neutral wires.

The target audience is anyone without a lot of bread wishing an instant audio fix.

Equipment used:

Von Schweikert VR4s
XLO Ref ( second wire)
Monarchy 22C DAC
Theta Basic DC
Audible Illusions MOD 3A

What a cable! Every type of music sounds better with Terminator 2. It produces great sound stage and it’s very truthful to the music itself. It sounds better than Cardas, FAR better than AudioQuest. I’m confident to say that nothing even come close at this price arrange.

Strength:

Very detailed. Harmonic richness. Wide deep sound stage. Littel to no grain. Excellent dynamic contrast and impact.

Weakness:

Big bulky network boxes. Be carfull if you are using small (read light weight) speakers on stands. The heavy RC network boxes will pull the speakers off the stands unless you add weight to the top of the speaker.

These cabels are a little on the warm side, but are an excellent match for speakers and or components that are lean, such as Sony 7000 and 7700 DVD players or Snell and some Inifinity speakers. They take about over 200 hundred hours to break in. Tney have a heavily vailed, slow presentation if you listen to them right out of the box. After 48 hours some of th vail lifts. After 168 hours the sound stage is open, instruments are suspended in space, the detail is excellent, but the dynamics are a little restricted in the bass. The bass does not have the punch and detail to match the rest of the sound field. Another 72 hours and the base opens up, dynamics and detail are excellent. If you systems is missing some needed harmonic warmth and richness because of a lean midbass and you love detail without harsness then this is the cable for you. I am rating the value high because I bought these on sale. At regular price the value would be about 2.

Thank God for the 30 day money back gaurantee. I recently let a friend of mine talk me into buying the T-2 interconnects and a bi-wire (8ft) run of MIT. I was sucked in by all the literature about improved soundstage and all the neat little graphics, MIT's numbering system etc.. Well after giving them two weeks they are back at the dealer. I put my older (and cheaper) cables back in. I had all DH Labs Silver Sonic Cables. They just sound better than the T-2 stuff. I could go into all of the superlatives (tighter bass, more air etc..) but I won't. They just sound better.
System (I hate when people don't list the system tested on)

Rotel RCD-971 20 bit (same dacs as Krell KPS20i) HDCD player
Bryston B-60R Integrated Amp
PSB Stratus Silver speakers

Cables I kept
DH Labs Silver Sonic BL-1 series II (retail $99)
DH Labs Silver Sonic T-14 Speaker cable, 2 8ft runs for biwiring (Retail $208)

Other cables owned (and used elswhere, because not as good as DH Labs)
Kimber Hero
Monster M-550i

Frank

I bought my Cables from here (he gives a 15% or so discount)

P.S. I appreciate my MIT dealers patience

If you are thinking of buying these, and like me you move your equipment around a lot, do yourself a favor a buy the 330 series with the "new" style locking plugs. You insert them and then tighten a retaining ring. The T2 you have to twist then counterclockwise to get them off, fine but if you have two sets of them for something like pre-amp main-in then they are to close to twist and pull. Is like pulling teeth(or the components female rca)to get them out. Otherwise they are a fine sounding cable. I paid around the 50-60 used price for these. I paid $120 for the 330. The 330's seem like much made made cables, I will sell my T2 and get more 330. The sound is quite warm from both cables, the treble is much more laid back. For equipment like mine, the MIT line is a good product to try. Buy from audio advisor and try them for 30 days.

My equipment

Onkyo TX-SV90 Pro receiver
MIT Terminator II IC
Onkyo EQ-25
MIT Terminator II IC
Denon DCM-560 cd player
MIT 330 series II IC
B&W V202 speakers
Monster Cable Z1 reference speaker cable (am debating whether to keep these and get T2 speaker cable)

As you can see, my stereo is very mainstream, and I believe that the MIT are very good choice for someone who has a bright system like mine. Unless you are going to buy audiophile equipement, then the MIT is a good choice. These cables are about the same price as the monsters, do yourself and yours ears a favor and check them out. But pop for the 330 if you can swing it.

The terminator 2 bi-wire is a very good product for the money. Has tight bass, good midrange and good upper frequency extension. I've had all sorts of cables, but these I can live with. Tried the interconnects. found them to have a coloration in the upper frequencies. Noticable on vocals. Exagerates "Sss" sounds on all vocals indicating the cable is adding this abnormality. The speaker wire does not seem to do this. Associated Equip. Conrad-Johnson PF2-pre-amp, 2100 Amp. B&W 805 Matrix w/800ASW sub. Linn Sondek LP12, Adcom GDA600 D-A converter fed by a PHilips transport with Siltech digital cable.
