Strength:

Great warm sound, excellent bass extenstion and detail with a full body to the music

Weakness:

hard to bend and generally bulky but not a problem except on some amp connections

First of all I have had these for about 6 months and I have to say I am impressed with them. I have Paradigm Reference 100s which are fantastic and became even more so when I got the MIT 2s since the highs got more laid back and less shrill. I hate shrill highs (apparently some reviewers below like it) and since I listen to music rather loudly, it can be a problem (especially on the B&W N804 speakers I had before). I recently swapped out the MITs with plain speaker wire and was really surprised to hear how much better the MITs were (and they better be for the price difference!) proving that they indeed have a very large positive impact on the sound - more than I once thought cables could. I am running a Mcintosh C712 preamp and a MC202 (200 wpc) amp that are to die for and also add the the musical warm sound. I have an old Mcintosh tube amp that has dinky terminal strips for speaker connections that I cannot get the MITs onto. Oh well. I had MIT T2 interconnects before and they were excellent so they prompted me to get the biwire speaker cables.
All in all, I found them better than the Kimber PBJ I got with the N804s but not by much (very system dependant, I hear) and MUCH better than some Monsters I tried a while back.
I love my system and part of the reason is the MIT T2s so I have to give them 5 stars all around. Try them out and see for yourself although each system has different requirements so try a few different brands if you aren't totally happy.

Strength:

Improved bass, volume (system plays louder)

Weakness:

None--maybe a little too stiff, if I had to pick something

First of all, let me say that this was the biggest "bang for the buck" improvement to my system so far.
MIT gives their 2/2 method for burning in the cables. I saw an immediate improvement in bass the moment I turned on the receiver. It had more punch, and I felt it more.
Sound only got better from there. Its been more than 2 weeks and I'm assuming the cables are fully broken in and there is definately a big improvement in sound.
My speakers sound more open and not as muddy.
Midrange and highs sound just as I would expect them to sound in my HT setup. Clear and detailed. But as mentioned, the biggest improvement was in the bass. The ooomph that was missing from my speakers has returned.
Hihgly recommended up grade for people using Monster XP cables.
I went out and started upgrading my interconnects to Terminator 2's as well and have noticed similar improvement with those as well.
I was one of those people that was thinking "what did I just do?" when I spent over $100 just for speaker cables, but I'm happy I did.

I've got the MITerm 2 interconnects ($120pr) and MITerm 2 speaker wire(10'bi-wire$425pr). They've gone a long way toward making my solid-state
system(Acurus pre&power amps; CAL audio digital; Snell Type D spkrs) sound more
natural and smoothed out the highs somewhat.
I switched from Audioquest wire after auditioning MIT. I love 'em!
By the way, I also use the MIT Digital Reference digital link($325meter)
and recommend it highly! Very smooth and natural...
MIT has cheaper digital cable but save the extra and buy the reference!
You only have to buy it once and it is definitely worth the bucks.

I borrowed the MIT T2 Biwire Speaker cable (new style) to audition in my system at home and compare to my XLO Reference Type 6a (non-biwire).
I could tell the benefits of biwiring my speakers (Paragon "Jubillee") but I returned them, preferring my XLO. The T2 is not very transparent or as fast as the XLO. XLO is not a good match for every system, but I have grown to love it!
The MIT is smooth and a good all-rounder. Good depth, but lacks detail.

My system: Meridian 506 CDP, VPI HW19 mk3, Sugden Au41 pre & power, Paragon Jubilee speakers (excellent mini-monitors built like B&W Matrix stuff, but in the league of ProAc Response 2s).

I'd give the MIT T2 BiCable 3.5 to 4 out of 5.

Just bought a pair of terminator2 interconnects. They sound better right out of the box than my Audioquest Terquoise with hundreds of hours on them. Still burning them in. They really opened up my Paradigm Mini-Monitors. The sound is just plain more worth while. They seem to be more relaxed than the Terquoise, more transparent. Imaging has become more localized in a bigger soundstage. Resolution wasn't affected that much, but I'm still using Audioquest Type 4 cable to feed the speakers. Can't wait to replace them with 8ft. of Terminator2 cable. As far as the interconnect goes, for $130, I don't see how you can go wrong. Go get a pair and see for yourself.

Tried T2 interconnects on my system for two week. Burn in helps, however after 150 hours they still do not sound as transparent as AudioQuest Ruby. Not too impressed.

I have bought TERMNATOR 2 between my ampl and my preamp the other cable CD/Preamp are TAM Link +, and amp/speakers TAM Music Wave. I think than TERM2 is a very good cable, transparent, largest...
My system :
CD CEC EVOLUTION 3
Preamp Audio Research SP8
Amp Audio Research D70 MKII
Speakers MAGNEPLANAR SMGc.
With TAM Aand MIT cable is a very transperent system very realist.

I use MIT Terminator2 interconnects between my CD player and receiver. When I bought them, the dealer told me I could return them in a week if I did not notice an improvement in sound. I did not return them because they somehow made it sound like I got a whole new (i.e., better) system. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about cables making any difference, but I was impressed by the difference these made.

I feel that these cables (non-bi-wire) are worth the money if you want to change your system from a "recording" to a virtual live performance. The sound of the music doesn't sound "better", but the soundstaging contains more depth and instruments, especially in small ensembles, are more accurately localized. It's worth the extra mile to purchace these if you are in the "seperates" catagory. Being critical.......4 stars
