Excellent products. I own the Truth Link and Pro-9 Plus cables.
I found that they need more burn in than hinted at in some reviews. Until then, the highs seemed rolled off or softened. Overall, one of the smoothest sounds I've ever heard, without losing any detail. At first, you listen and think you're missing something, but then you realize it's all there, you're just not hearing certain grunge that may have been in your system.

I replaced Goertz MI-2 cables with the Pro-9's, and I give the Goertz high marks. But these took them one step higher.

I had an opportunity to listen to the Electraglide interconnects in someone else's system, and they may actually be the best I've ever heard. But the Truth Link isn't far behind at all.

The soundstage, detail, smoothness, and incredible bass of these cables are excellent, reference quality.

I haven't yet tried the AC cord, may not. Some excellent products from TG Audio, or some infamous "ER Grade" power cords grace my system now, and do a hell of a job.

Heartily recommend the HT cables ! Smooth yet detailed sound, they open the whole picture up !

Strength:

Great soundstage and crisp highs and great bass extention

Weakness:

none

I purchased these cables used and haven't looked back. Using reviews on this site and feedback from friends I purchased the without a listen and am quite pleased. Very smooth with great top and bottom end extension. These do take time to break in so be patient.

I bought a pair of these used to see how they were designed an dhow they sound. Well, they don't sound like they cost! I should know I have made speaker cables. Any fool can make a cable like this, only a fool would charge this much too.

I thought the HT cables are rather good actually. Deep and tight bass, wideand open soundstage, liquid sound (even with my solid state electronics).

Perhaps it also would help in this column if other reviewers told us what
their related bits of equipment are when they post their reviews.

Mine are: CEC 5100Z CD player, Sonic Frontiers SFL1 Sig, McCormack DNA1 Deluxe,
Harbeth Compact 7 speakers. Now connected with HT Pro-Silway II and HT Pro-9
Plus biwire (previously XLO).

I have been using all HT cables in my system for the last couple of months -- Pro-Silway interconnects (balanced), Pro-9 Plus speaker cables (biwired), and Pro-AC11 power cords on all components. [System: Accuphase DP-65V CD player, Accuphase C-265 preamp, Accuphase P-550 amp, Eminent Technology LFT-VIIIA speakers.] I have been extremely happy with the performance of the HT cables in my system.
The previous speaker cables were Kimber 8TC (also biwired), and they were replaced first. The improvements in midrange detail and imaging were immediately obvious, but I was initially rather disappointed because the soundstage depth was cut in half. However, after about 20-30 hours of break-in, the soundstage improved dramatically, matching the excellent results I had been getting with the 8TC. I found this change rather surprising, since I had read that the HT cables require no break-in period. To anyone who is dissatisfied with the soundstaging of the Pro-9 Plus cables, I would suggest giving them a little time to blossom.

The next switch was from Kimber KCAG silver interconnects to the Pro-Silways. This change was completely positive right from the start. The air and high frequency extension of the Pro-Silways were a perfect complement to the midrange detail of the Pro-9 Plus speaker cables. Compared with the KCAGs, I found the Pro-Silways to be more liquid and natural sounding in the mid-highs. However, I could not really compare these interconnects directly because the KCAGs were unbalanced and the Pro-Silways were balanced.

The last step was to put the Pro-11AC power cords on all the components. I didn't expect to hear any difference, but was pleased (and surprised) to note a more solid low end and an improved sense of dynamic ease.

In summary, I think that the HT cables are excellent products. In my experience, they seem to work best when used together throughout the system, providing a well-balanced and synergistic improvement in all frequency ranges. In addition, Jim Wang and all the people at Harmonic Technology have been extremely helpful and friendly to me. I think that they provide outstanding products at a very reasonable price.

I also found the Harmonic Technology cables to be the best sounding cables I've listened to and the best deal around (relatively speaking since price of cables and anything audio is ridiculous these days). I stumbled upon it by talking to Albert Von Schweikert, the famed Von Schweikert Research Speaker, who recommended it to me and later to others in the 'www.planethifi.com' review of these cables. I have the TruthLink connects, the power cord, and a pair of Pro-11 speaker cables shotgunned in biwiring mode. They sound most natural with details and holographic imaging. To add on top of that, James Wang, the co-founder of HT, was courteous helpful and willing to work with me for a home trial. I can now forget the cable war, enjoy music, and day-dream of upgrading only other components like all good audiophile (thank goodness I spend a lot of time golfing too - but that's another story). Enough said?
My humble system: Meridian 508.20 CD, ARC LS3 preamp, ARC D-300 amp, Von Schweikert VR4 speakers.

P.S. Readers might want to check out the HT website at 'www.harmonictech.com' and give James Wang a call. Tell him Hai said 'Hi'!

Please note that the price listed on my previous review was for used cables! It sure doesn't negatively effect the sound.

Strength:

dynamics, bass extension, musicality

Weakness:

a bit too much system dependant

hmmm, i guess with speakers is like with food... tastes are different. but i still do not understand how few listeners rated these cables so low... i cant find other reason than to simply bash the cable for no apparent reason.

anyway, what is important to me is that after 7-8 months of frantic search and countless hours of auditioning quite a few cables, ht pro-9 came out as an overall winner. it beat cardass handily but i have to say it is probably because of the rest of my system that includes nordost red dawn interconnects and a very dynamic amp and speakers. my taste also prefers detail, more forward prosentataion and lots of upper frequencies... all cardass cables sounded too laid back and too warm in my system. the second best cable in my system was audioquest argent. if you can put your hands on this cable at good price, give it a try. in my system aq sounded very similar to ht pro-9 but less musical and more synthetic (artificial, unnatural).

now about ht pro-9. very quick and dynamic cable. it was a perfect match for my amp and speakers combo. i liked the tight and precise bass, lush mids and musical highe without harshness... the overall presentation is very liquid and musical. almost addictive... with right combo of the rest of the equipment, this is a killer speaker cable for the price...

my system:
arcam alpha 10 w/DAVE
arcam alpha 10 P w/3rd channel
simaudio moon eclipse
toshiba sd-9200
jmlab micro utopia
cardass golden and cardass golden ref power cords
nordost red dawn interconnects

Strength:

detailed

Weakness:

edgy edgy edgy

these cables might sound good in some systems however make sure to try them in your own system before you give an opinion bout them cause ive heard them in many different systems and they change the sound in different ways at different times but one thing i cán say is that theyre VERY detailed but it can become annoying cause theyre also very edgy and cold and screamy cables

Strength:

This is a very natural, relaxed and open sounding cable.
It certainly is the best loudspeakercable I have ever heard

Weakness:

The cable is a bit stiff but other than that I just can't think of anything to mention here.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if one day it would be revealed that good old Tina Turner was listening to Harmonic Technology's Pro-9 loudspeakercables when she sang 'You are simply the best...!'

This cable really is awesome and that is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It sounds very relaxed, open and natural but it does not do by so making the music sounds romantic in an artificial way.
This cable will present faithfully and honestly the signal it is fed with and still it will invite you to listen to music for hours and hours.
If you have a good system the Pro-9 will turn it into a great one; it's as simple as that.

There are many cables out there who are much more expensive that HT's Pro-9's.
But why would you spend more if you could have something this good for a much lower price?

I highly recommend this cable to everyone who's looking for a great sounding cable. This cable has got it all and it could very well be the answer to your prayers.

Regards,

Rainer
