I have owned varios AQ cables and fid just about all of them not only good value but one of my preferences in a cost no object, works VERY well with Magnan interconnects on front end components with either AQ or Kimber for pre to power connection. There are always variables but check it out,I think you'll like 'em.

I recently upgraded to this cable after auditioning it in my home system. Everything sounds more fuller and richer compared to my previous AQ indigo, which was no slouch.

The midnight 3 is not as good every say its.I have listen to a better cables then this.I think the oehlbach silver cable is quit close i would say ether one has it own advantage. The AQ would pick up more on the high side and a bit on the low side but the mid is not as rich as oehlbach .I use to hook them up to system which are DENON,MISSION,JEFF ROWLAND and a few more high end set and know i haven had the chance to listen to oehlbach (heavanly sound) i heard its quit good

I accidently installed these cables backwards on my phonograph system. The sound was gibberish untill I played Beatles. "I burried Paul" and "See there, is that your dam father, rescue him." was clearly audible. This cable has made me hear things I've never heard before. It's a revolution (#9). I don't even mind that it's so stiff that I tore the binding posts right off my amplifier when I moved the speaker a bit. Make sure you buy twice as much as you need because it won't bend. Not suitable for speakers less than 30 Kg. as they will fall over from the weight and stiffness of the wires and plastic. The silver plating has tarnished a deathly back that comes off on everyting it touches. I'm sure it must be good because I paid so much rupies for it. For this much money, if it doesn't sound different than lamp cord, then I am a Goose.

Just wanted to clear this up, with regards to the last three or four review here on Th Audioquest Midnight, these guys are playing games. I have owned Midnight3 and now Plus version along with others like Kimber 4tc/8tc Tara RSC, Purist Colossus and AQ Clear(which is awesome). The Midnight Plus is one of the most neutral, refined cables at 500.00 10ft run. Please tkae my word I have been doing this a long time. Associated equiptment, Sonic Frontiers, Sony, Pro Ac, Musical Fidelity and Audion 300 B's. Take my word Audioquest is one of the best cable manufactuers out there that design their OWN cable from scratch and build quailty is excellent. I really believe these last 2 star review were bullshiT.

This cable is wonderful. My system is: Micromega St.5, Bryston 0.5P (preamp),Hafler Series 9130 (poweramp), Nordost Blue Angel (preamp-poweramp) and VdH CS 120 Hybrid Mk.III (CD-preamp) interconects.

I purchased the original Midnight cable a few years ago and here are my observations:
I was initially disappointed with my purchase. The overall presentation was "darkened" somehow. Detail, while still present, was attenuated compared to the cheaper multi-strand Monster wire. On the positive side, this cable is very smooth and refined in comparison. The presentation is balanced across the spectrum. There are no "hightlights" in any frequency that I can detect.
Construction quality is first-rate.

Perhaps my initial impression was negative because I was used to the brightness of the former cable.

My system is comprised of:

Krell KSA-150 amp
Aragon 24k Pre-amp
Sony CDP-779ES CD Player
HK Tuner
AudioQuest Ruby and Midnight cables.

The Midnight 3 is a great cable which allows most of the music through.Treble is clean, midrange is sweet, and bass is controlled. The only
poblem I have with the cable is its size- its just to damn thick. As far
as sound is concerned, I would go for this cable but it is certainly not
the lost word on practicality. I have had severe problems just wiring up
in my system (Audiolab 8000S, 8000CD, Mission 751Freedom, Adudioquest
Quartz 3). Because of this I would look to a thinner cable (maybe Audio
Note AN-SP) to satify my cable needs.

Thhis speaker cable allows music to flow through like a waterfall off the Niagra Falls! Bass is well tamed, treble is sweet, but it's a hell of a thick hose. One thing about this cable, it can sometimes dull you're midrange, voices can get muddy if you partner it with the wrong equipment, so take care..
