Strength:

Good highs, able to drive 2 sets of speakers at same time, attractive unit

Weakness:

Bass response thin

This is pretty decent receiver overall. I use it for my secondary system upstairs. As mentioned above, unit's high
freq. reproduction is very good. With low freq, the unit's output is muddy and weak, and the Super Bass doesn't really help much. My Onkyo receiver downstairs far outshines this unit in the bass dept., of course, it was $150 more. In the electronics world, you get what you pay for. For a basic entry level receiver, this is a pretty good piece. Other
strengths are seperate switching for LD/DVD and a VCR. (Even thought I don't use this unit for video watching, I think it is a good feature for a receiver in this price range.)
