I love this unit. I used to have separates, but am now happy with the switch to an integrated system. Although the RX-V2095 doesn't have the same "warm fuzzy feeling" sound of my Carver TFM amps, it still sounds very clean. I haven't tried the front effects channels yet. The DSP sound fields and the ability to modify them are a hit with me. I'm using a hodgepodge of speakers (JBL L100s, JBL HLS center, CSW surrounds, and a Polk Audio unpowered sub with a Carver amp) right now, but plan to buy 6 Aura bookshelf speakers, an Aura center speaker, and a HSU TN series sub (driven by a Carver amp) to finish off the system. I listened to the NHT Super Ones, that many have recommended here, and think they really, really suck compared to the Aura LSB-627Ms, listing for the same price. I wouldn't pay $75 a speaker for NHTs, after the side-by-side comparison. I received the "international" version of the RX-V2095, with RF output, for $500 less than the local stores (shipping vs. tax) at Uncle's Stereo. |

Congratulations Yamaha. Exellent A/V Receiver. It's not very often you can get something within your budget, which statisfies all your requirements. Well in my case RX-V2095 performed much better than my expectations. I have been looking around for months and have auditioned many products including SONY,ONKYO and DENON but finally it was Yamaha ( DSP A1 ) vs Yamaha (RX-V2095 ).I purchased 2095 because I think it is better value for money for $1000 less. I am not new to New Technology in HT and have owned many other makes in the Past including DENON, ONKYO, JVC, KENWOOD, but never experienced sounds of this quality. So my advice is to anyone who wants to invest on HT, look no further you will not find anything better in this class and price range. More than 200 reviewers can not be wrong. |

This hybrid replaced my 12 yr old Rotel receiver.Prior to purchase I was concerned that 2 chanel music wouldn't sound as good but my fears have been alleviated.I'm really happy with my set-up Polk Audio RT600's (mains) and cs300(centre)with my 12 yr old Polk Audio bookshelf 4.5's(rears).I believe there is a possibility that I've compromised with an integrated amp v/s seperates but the negligible difference combined with the convenience of a single unit makes this product very appealing. I initially had problems with the learning function (a ballpoint pen wouldn't trigger the learning capabilities)but now use a plastic toothpick.Be careful when placing on a stand or cabinet as the depth is often greater than some racks allow. |

I shopped around for a receiver for my Home Theater System for about 4 months before buying. I listened to all of the top Receivers that were configured with several different speaker configurations, also several different CD changers and DVD player. I also read lots of reviews, most of the reviews were very favorable and a few were not. I decided to ignore the bad comments and purchased the Yamaha RX-V2095. I am very glad that I did not listen to a handful of negative reviewers. The RX-V2095 is AWSOME!!!! In my opinion the price and features of this receiver can not be beat. I matched it up with the following components: |

I recently was confused as to which product would best suit my audio and HT needs. I'm glad I listened to the many reviews posted for the Yamaha product. The RX-V2095 has been everything these reviewers have suggested. One venue I was confused about was the issue of 5 channel stereo, as offered by the comparitive Denon products. When listening to the "Entertainment" DSP selection I think Yamaha has come close to what 5 channel stereo should sound like. I welcome any comments from the Denon owners on their experience with this option. I also agree with previous reviewers that the remote control is a bit of a distraction, but I still give the equiptment the highest recommendations. |

Yamaha RX-V2095. Everything one wants from an Integated Receiver. Supurb Sound Quality from both Home Cinema and Pure Music with more than enough power to bring your house down. Exellelent build quality, easy to set up and comes in at really good price. You can't ask anything more than that. So anyone who wants to upgrade look no further and you will have a winner. |

In Response to RIC question about 5 Channel Stereo in DENON, I have auditioned the new AVR5700 DTS before I bought RX-V2095. In my openion 5 channel stereo is nothing more than another DSP Mode that DENON trys to introduce as one of the features. I have compared this DENON's feature with the 2 Entertainments DSP's in Yamaha and found that they are very very similar. I found DENON to produce more base at 0db level than YAMAHA. There is nearly A$2500 price difference between DENON AVR 5700 DTS and Yamaha RX-V2095 here in Australia and there is no way DENON can justify this. RX-V2095 is fantastic value money. There is practically nothing in the Market Place at present to match the Performance/Price of RX-V2095. |

Congratulations Yamaha RX-V2095 for winning HiFi Grand Prix Award for Best A/V Receiver 98/99. Well, This was expected as no other Make even comes close to it. RX-V2095 is a real winner in every aspect of Home Theater and a good replacement for last year's award winner RX-V2092. I do not want to elaborate further of what so many other reviewers has already stated. I am more than happy with my investment on Yamaha and it now it will require mighty effort from any other Manufacturer to switch my preference of Product. |

I have this new unit for 2 weeks now. What a machine! I had a Denon 1700 as a loaner until the RXV2095 arrive and there is a big difference in sound betwwen a Denon and Yamaha. The DSP really bring out the sound, It does seem brighter compared to Denon as Denon does produce quality sound. |
