I second that Tony,
The following is from the official product site for the 2095:

FOUR DIGITAL INPUTS - The RX-V2095 can accommodate four digital sources DVD/LD, TV/DBS, CD, and Tape/MD. The CD and DVD/LD inputs have both optical and coaxial digital connections.

A Great A/V Receiver!

Sorry, guys, but the 2095 does not have an RF-AC3 input. The DVD/LD coax input is straight digital. I know because that's what I have my DVD audio connected to. In fact, neither Yamaha's web site nor the user manual states that the RX-V2095 has a built in RF demodulator, whereas the DSP-A1 does, and is stated so on its web page.
For those of you with no need for a LD audio hookup this is a great sounding receiver with excellent video switching capabilities and some really well done DSP modes. The front effects speakers really give the soundstage a full, enveloping sound. DTS decoding is instantaneous, even when the input is set to Auto-detect mode.

I still have my 6 year old Yamaha RX-V870 DPL receiver going strong in my office and expect no less stellar performance from the 2095.

In response to R Moody's review, the 2095 has Dolby Digital (AC3) inputs for laser discs players... optical & digital inputs. No need for an outboard demodulator, the 2095 has on built in. Why don't you do more research before you down rate such a great product? Furthermore, this receiver has 6 channel inputs for future decoders.

The reviews pretty much sum up my perspectives. I love the receiver.Let me add a couple of things...* the remote is hideous and counter-intuitive. Almost as if it was designed by a group who never heard of the term "User Interface" Very cheezy. I'll grant it one thing - the way it lights up is cool.
* To circumvent the issue of too little, too much bass due to the way AC-3 behaves with a powered, dedicated channel I do the following - for AC-3 source I use the SW setting in the "speaker" set up. I also wire the "B" speaker channels to the sub. Then I can easily toggle the sub on and off when I run CD or VCR or tuner, etc. source. It also is a way to avoid using the remote in order to invoke the sub, or not. Those who own this unit know what I am talking about. Any way to avoid using the remote is a good thing.
* The seven channel DSP delivers a much more sophisticated sound stage if you take the time to tweak it. This means room size, levels, reverb, etc. At best the DSP settings are a starting point to a potentially grand sound stage for
CERTAIN source. I find the 70mm settings to be awesome but to make them so I had to tailor the thing to my weird room size and acoustics. I find the Roxy settings to be great for much rock and roll and some jazz. Again, I tweaked them slightly to bring them into line for my ears in my room. It's very cool to be able to do this.
* A really great FM section with a better noise threshold than most. Considering how limited FM is on a technical basis, this is a very fine tuner.
* I really think you should be able to pipe composite video into the device and have it output S video. It would be a nice feature to include this and not cost much to provide. As it stands you must run one or the other since the device merely pipes what it is fed. I was disappointed to find my Beta unit cannot be connected to this since my monitor uses S, etc.
* the speaker binding posts are marginal as others have noted.

Highly recommended if you have many sources to connect and wish to use as much digital connectivity as you can (TOS and coax). Excellant build quality, very pleasing sound and very flexible configuration. If they would only provide a remote that didn't look and feel like a Lego I would be completely satisfied. Anyone get the secondary remote to work on the main unit?

Mr. Mike Mason. If you are just looking for information find another alternative to put your questions . E-mail somebody but please do not downgrade a product rate just to ask a question . It is not fair for the rest of the readers . Could you imagine another 10 to 20 people coming to this place for questions and rating this or any other equipment with 1 star? Do you think it is fair ?By the way,
the 2095 is a great product!
It has all the features you need now and for the future and offers a great sound performance in both movies and stereo.

I bought the DSP-A 3090 which was replaced by the DSP-A1. It was an excellent deal at $800 but I returned it when I found the RX-V2095 for $1160. Although the 3090 is an excellent intergrated amp, I didn't want to later pay the extra $400-$600 to have it upgraded with DTS. I considered Sony ES but I wanted the 7 channel capability of the Yamaha and it sounds so impressive compared to 5 channels. I never thought music and movies could sound so good and have such impact even with my modest system. 5 stars.

Sad but true, the RX-V2095 don't have an AC3 RF demodulator built-in. For laser disk fans, you need to purchase an outboard demodulator for playing AC3, but it isn't big deal at all(IMO). Yet I went to DSP-A1 because of availability of tonal control on different channels, which is particularly helful to correct the bass loading of the center channel. Anyway the overall performance of 2095 deserves 5 stars.
