Donot know yet Today, I was waiting for my car to be fixed at Sears auto center and I spent one and half hour at Sears audio store wondering at the receivers and the AR 328PS speakers. I got some CD and play it on different receivers. When I turn on the volume to a higher level when the CD is quiet, most receivers (mid end and low end of sony, kenwood, jvc, pioneer-worse) gave me a big hissssss noice, EXCEPT technic DX930 !! I can hardly hear any hiss noise from the speaker even with max high volume level ! Sound quality is as good as Yamaha 905 and other Sony model. I just ordered a Yamaha 905 from internet, hmmm, I may have to cancel it and get this one !!! But I am going to install another computer fan to cool this down as mentioned from many reviewers here. It should be simple to do, just connect the two wires to the same internal fan using a solder gun and mount the fan externally. It is so cheap with such a good sound, I have to give it a 4. I reserve the 5 for their next model which may have a better remote (I hope) and less heat. |

Awesome reveiver for $$$, DTS and DD sound truly amazing and life like.
Weakness:
Absolute Not I just bought this receiver about 2 months ago. It is a awesome receiver with plenty of power to drive any speaker to its max. Its equipped with BOTH a DTS AND DD decoder that are magnificent. If you guys could help, in the bottom right-hand corner of the little window (where all the information is shown), it says LOUDNESS. It is not on, but its there..you can see it barely. Anyone know how to turn it on?? Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
good sound, bass, power Overall, a good Dolby Digital/DTS receiver for the price. Runs hot at low volumes, but eventually fan kicks in (at higher volume or temperature). Sound is excellent, lots of power. Could use more digital inputs (2 optical - DSS, CD / 1 coax - DVD). On the Canadian model, SA-DX830, the remote will only work with Panasonic/Technics products. Even with these complaints, I still really like the receiver and would recommend it. |

Buttons are small on the remote, could be bigger, main Speaker Binding clips could be bigger So far so good, AWESOME Sound! Most Bang for the $! Picked up this unit for $269 shipped, $ for $ one of the best values for a DD & dts receiver. Similar Products Used: Sony, JVC, etc |

No coaxial digital input, no A/V connectors in the front If you don´t want to spend a fortune bying a new 5.1 surroundequipment, which is outdated within 2 years, this is the thing for you.!! Believe me, you |

Cheap, cheap, cheap, did I say cheap?
Weakness:
No S-Video (dont miss it, never had it) Hey I paid $269 + S&H for this a week ago from Crazy Eddies in NJ. Online ordered it. I hooked it up last night, and it works great! All I had around was kid movies like Toy Story, but the surround worked fine. I am renting a dvd player tonight to try that out too. It sounds good, but I am like most people, and do not have anything to compare it too. I price shopped, since this stuff is all disposeale anyway eventually. I think it is silly to pay five times as much for something that there is no doubt will be old technology in a few years. Similar Products Used: older technics, not even surround capable |

no s video input or midrange control I like this receiver! i havent had any of the overheating problems though it will get warm but nothing serious.i run two 500watt dcm 12a mains ,two pioneer sh252bk surrounds,a dcm 6c center, and a audiosource sw-15 sub.at full blast this setup will shake walls and rattle windows.the dts version of saving private ryan will have you running for cover at full blast i also have a apex ad-703 dvd player to finish off the package and I paid under a grand for everything including wire and digital coax which is less than some high end speakers.I like the sound of my setup better than my dads overpriced nakamichi reciever with acoustic research speakers.
