Weakness:

This unit has one additional major failing. As far as anyone can determine, there is no MUTE button on the remote control! In fact, the remote is pretty much a disaster. The buttons seem designed for people with tiny fingers. The Volume arrows are poorly placed, easily confused with the channel buttons. This is not my TV, but if it was, it wouldn't be. At the very least, I'd have to buy a universal remote and hope the MUTE button actually works. What was Toshiba thinking?

Good picture, poor control system.

Strength:

Has good picture, connections,DVD.

Weakness:

Besides the most important, listed under "Summary", (1) too long of a delay in changing channels (2) too long-delay in changing from anything to something else. i.e. channels, menus, settings, programs etc.

This model (MD20FL1) has great picture and looks decent, maybe attractive. There is no "program code" for Dish Network, in order to program Dish's "all in one" remote. So you have another remote and I have found no help from Dish or Toshiba.

Similar Products Used:

Have used and is using Panasonic, Sony, GE, Zenith, and more that I have not listed.
