Strength:

Great picture, loads of inputs, nice remote, picture in picture

Weakness:

Screen could be flatter

I recently purchased a DVD player so I had been looking for a good TV to get the best picture I could, without having to spend a fortune. I looked at several brands on the net and saw that Toshiba was one of the few that offered a TV this size (27") with the component inputs that I wanted for the DVD. I'm no video expert, but when I connected the DVD through the component inputs I was surprised by how great the picture looked. I also liked the color temperature settings, you can set the picture to cool, medium or warm. It also has a screen preference which i have set to Theater for watching movies. All of this combined with the digital comb filter results in a great picture for TV and movies.

The remote has an easy to follow layout and can be programmed to control two other devices. The number pad on the remote has large enough buttons and they are spaced out good, so entering a number in the dark is no problem. The remote also glows in the dark too. The center of the remote is for the menu and changing channels. The buttons are large, so it's real easy to operate. The bottom part of the remote is for controlling a VCR and the picture in picture features.

The TV also has stereo sound but I have not even heard sound from it as I have it hooked to my receiver.

All in all, I give this TV high marks for the great picture and all the inputs in the back. If you want a great TV without having to spend a lot of money, it's for you.

Strength:

Great Picture, Component and S Video Inpus, Good Price

Weakness:

Screen curvature, depth, no front a/v inout

Great 27" TV. If you're not looking for a 27" tabletop, don't settle for something around $240-270, go ahead and get this TV, you won't regret it. It features component video input which is great for dvds, a 3 line digital comb filter (almost 0 dot crawl!), blackstripe II picture tube, 2 a/v iputs and 1 a/v output. Good Buy at 350 when I bought it, but you can probably find it cheaper now!
