Strength:

Crisp picture, good stereo sound, flat display, well designed product.

Weakness:

No backlit remote. Unit tends to be a little heavy.

Perfect TV for the bedroom. Sharp picture, good sound, but you may have to adjust the contrast to your liking. The factory default color settings were set by someone with a visual impairment. You will need to adjust the settings to your desired view. My wife any I were attracted to this TV first by picture quality, second by the size. 24" is a perfect size for our bedroom needs. 27" and up were a little over the top. 19"/20" were a little lacking. People have made comments as to the remote, but we have no qualms about it. It's fairly weel laid out and easy to use. I do wish it was backlit for night time viewing, but.... I was suprised about how heavy this TV comes. 75+ lbs. seems heavy to me. Overall I would recommend this TV to anyone, sure Sony quanlity may have slipped a little through the years, but slipping from the best to just outstanding is not bad. Besides most of their R&D money is being spent on what consumers want the most, digital cameras, large TV's, DVD technology...

Strength:

This is my first stereo TV, I'm impressed with the sound quality. I liked the "point anywhere" feature of the remote.

Weakness:

Nothing major, should have included a universal remote control.

Great picture, once I got the brightness and contract controls figured out. The defaults that Sony has don't produce the best results. Also, the default color saturation is way too high to look natural.

Strength:

Nice flat screen. Decent picutre after some fiddling.

Weakness:

Tube is incapable of pluge and contrast / brightness are not sensative enough.

I recently purchased this TV from Circuit City and am pleased with the picture quality, but the set does have some pretty major faults that would stop me from recommending it to others. The set has some serious contrast problem that cause a lot of blooming and image distortion. The contrast / brightness settings are not sensative enough for the set to produce anything close to pluge without turning both controlls all the way up. It is possible to fiddle with the settings to get a descent picture but the SEMTI colors are never right

Strength:

Excellent Picture...

Weakness:

Set is heavy

The picture on this receiver is amazing...almost like watching HDTV. The 24" size is perfect for the bedroom. Have a Sony 32" TV that I purchased a couple of years ago...this set blows it away with the picture!
