Strength:

I dont recommend this for sure. Business Consulting

Weakness:

I purchased my unit (KV-40XBR800) Sony Trinitron XBR 40" new in 2003. Within a year it failed to turn on (makes clicks, flashes the standby light, but does not turn on). Being under warranty, Sony sent a team of guys (yes, it's that heavy) to load it onto the repair truck. The unit was repaired, but failed again (this time the warranty was expired) with the same symptoms. Turns out the reps replaced the defective components with new components, which are plagued with this problem. A quick search on any major search engine for "Sony Trinitron Flash Error Codes" will reveal a vast consumer base plagued with this problem. There is no permanent fix as the parts needed to fix it are themselves the problem; any parts replaced will eventually result in the same failures due to the problem being in the defective part design and/or manufacturing process. Sony is aware of this, and is probably thankful the warranties on these units has run out. Do not buy this unless you have a team of guys to move it to a place where you intend to throw it away after it fails. Definitely fails the longevity aspect of TV ownership. patio screen installation tampa

Strength:

It has a variety of features that make it an attractive option for us. The television has a 40-inch screen that allows us to enjoy our favorite shows and movies in high definition. By the way, see these electrical contractors Greensboro NC residents most recommended pros. Discover how you can benefit from taking in their services.

Weakness:

No issues encountered so far though we purchase a bigger, flatter tv.

Strength:

Even in 2018 this television has a superior picture and sharp clarity. My parents purchased ours back in 2002 from Crazy Eddie’s back in the day and it still works as good now as it did back then. The colors are incredibly vivid, easily comparable to that of today’s TVs. This is the optimal tv for anyone wanting to break out out their older consoles and start retro gaming! Truely one of the best CRT TVs ever made.

Weakness:

It’s just VERY HEAVY. It is, according to its manual, 300 lbs so it can be difficult to move. It also has a traditional square screen so widescreen content doesn’t fit when watching cable tv

Weakness:

weight, weight and the screen4/3

Probably the best picture and the best sound of any TV that I have seen of late. Even beats out the latest models. The negative is the weight and the 4-3 screen. Would not trade it for any plasma or LCD, CRT have the best pictures and life hands down. If you come across any of these TV's, get it.

Strength:

Incredible HD picture

Weakness:

My first set had a bad DVI and pixel burn-out and had to be replace. The second one is fine. IF you have a vertical blue line running from right to left, you have a bad DVI. Not uncommon with the XBR. This TV is heavy! Over 300 lbs.

Sweet!

Strength:

HD picture quality, overall look, Dynamic sound.

Weakness:

Weight(140kg!!), viewing non-HD programs on HD channels. Expensive!($3500Canadian

I have been using the 40" XBR800 for about 4 months and my emotion is mixed. On one hand, I am very impressed with the picture quality while playing DVD's or HD programs. I am also impressed with how you can actually change the size of the two "Windows" in TwinView mode. The sound is also quite amazing. It easily outperform my cheap A/V receiver. On the other hand, how the screen is shrunk when non-HD programs are played on HD channels just make me believe that the same program will look better, full screen, on the non-HD equivalent channel. Overall, I am happy about this TV(Hey, you can't go wrong with a Wega CRT) although I am a little ticked off to see the new 42" Grand Wega( I think it's a better TV!!) selling roughly at the same price as my 40" just 2 months after I bought mine.
