Strength:

Picture quality, Picture quality, Picture quality! Memory stick enabled

Weakness:

Weight! approx 250lbs

After tens of hours of visual side by side compares of monitor verses projection I decided I was looking for quality over quantity of the picture. This is used primarily for DVD viewing and video game playing. Quality of the image between the two mediums I was looking at had a signiifcant variance. Projection cannot compete with the tube. Plasma is still to pricey for me. I have been extremely satisfied with the picture and when others have come over and viewed the images they were blown away. This is an outstanding tv. I also own a Sony camcorder and use the memory stick veiwing feature of the tv, the kids love it. Other than price I don't have one negative comment on the set. I have it hooked up to about 4k worth of surround sound equipment and it performs flawlessly.

None that compare, but I tested this model in store against all the top Mit's projection monitors and it won hands down.

Strength:

-dvi input -2 component -hdtv 1080i 720p -picture is best ive seen on any tv -build quality the pixels on the screen are evenly spaced and the screen is perfectly flat ,very hard to do -looks like its an art piece with a curved cabinet and glass doors that are curved too ,doesn,t look like a box -upconverts signals to 1080i so vhs look good and cable also -powerful 280 watts of screen brightness, my girlfriend loves the electric bills heh heh.(but she hasn,t complained yet so thats a good thing -your friends will have tv envy -you get what you paid for its not over priced ,good tv for the widescreen transitional stage -cool pip you can adjust the size of the boxes - audio output

Weakness:

-remotes doesn,t work sometimes esp at night have to go up to the tv with remote and change channel ,its some sort of interference, i dunno never happened with any other remote i use on it ,it hasnt happened in a while though -stupid flip up design for multi function features, not backlit -it glows for 5 minutes -have to flip though sources instead of selecting it like the toshiba ,but you can skip the ones you don,t use - heavy! but i put it on casters - 1 year warranty ,but i got an extra 2 -makes a weird belching noise when you turn it on ,its apparently degausing ,getting rid of excess er magnetic build up ,kinda have to mention it to guests (oh its supposed to make that noise)

Wow !what an awesome Tv .got this as the old 36 inch toshiba i got in june had a vertical line down it ,a&b sound were nice enough to exchange it after 6 months of use .will never buy a toshiba again because tvs aren,t the only thing that are crap ,computers too. Comparing the 2 the pic on the sony is more finer ,too fine if its set on vivid picture mode, dvd s look grainy but true hd xbox games look fantantic ,so for cable and dvds i keep it set on movie has 7 inputs and a dvi one for hdtv On the toshiba remote was backlit and you didnt have to cycle though the inputs ,the menu looked nicer, but that all i miss plus the $700 extra outta my pocket ,i prefered the reds on the toshiba more vibrant but looked less life like ,also toshiba tv screen was a bit wavy looked very mass produced ,just pump them out as fast as you can hopefully no one will notice attitude ,hence the vertical line
