Strength:

Excellent color and picture, ease of use, Front A/V Jacks

Weakness:

Remote is flimsy, audio system is weak, instructions not very clear.

I was in the market to replace a very old yet very reliable 27" Magnavox. I wanted to upgrade to the newer technology. I was very much interested in JVC, Toshiba, and Sony. I don't think that this Sharp is quite as well thought out as some of the others but value also means cost is a consideration. I paid $587 with a 2 year full warranty,
I am very pleased with the color, the quality of the picture, and the overall fit and finsh. The remote seems flimsy when the volume buttons are pushed, the sound system is weak in comparison with some of the others. The dual tuner PIP is great for sports.
The unit fired up with no problems and has preformed flawlessly since the first minute. The picture was grainy at first but now is perfect. I don't know if that was due to a mediocre Cable co. because on the Satellite it was fine.
Highly, at this point, recommend this unit.
