Excellent picture. With up to 800 lines of resolution, this TV really displays DVD video with great clarity and detail. I will occasionally look at other TVs in stores when I'm shopping, and the only ones I've seen whose picture is better than this one's are HD sets. There are lots of built-in adjustments that can be performed on this TV, allowing the viewer to customize video and audio to individual taste. The remote is sensible for the most part.

The stereo sound is weak, as it is on most TVs.

I went into H H Gregg in early 2002 to look at a 27" TV advertised at a sale price. The store had maybe a dozen 27" TVs lined up and set to the same broadcast show. The clear winner in picture quality was not the TV I set out to buy, but this Samsung.
