Strength:

Very light! 67 lbs. Very thin! Only 16" deep.

Weakness:

No built-in HDTV tuner

This review is actually for the HLN series. I believe the only diffrence from the M series is that the N has the Faroudja 3:2 pulldown. At any rate, this TV is amazing. DVDs are crystal clear and very film-like. Cable stations vary by station with some looking quite good and others, well....not so good. But I only have analog cable and I suspect that with a digital upgrade, my cable will look much better. Lots of inputs in the back of this TV including an audio out to your Dolby-capable amp. The TV has two component ins but beware...only the first is capable of accepting 480i. The second only accepts 480p, 780p and 1080i. So if your DVD is non-progressive, make sure to route it through the component 1 TV jacks to take advantage of the 3:2 pulldown processing. The TV itself is very easy to use and you can save picture settings for each input. What else to say? This TV is light, fits just about anywhere and has an amazing picture.

Strength:

Beautiful Picture! No picture burn in when veiwing 4:3 material Light compared to CRT Cheaper than a plasma (which has burn in and picture fade)

Weakness:

Repair history - possibly get the extended warranty

Purchased online. Had to have the PCB board and lamp replaced within the first 2 months. Picture is fantastic (after repair), especially on high-definition content. About the repair: the shop came out and replaced the board after ordering part (1.5 weeks). The new board was an upgrade, which had the DNIe chip installed. SO the set is now much like the HLN model which is currently selling in the stores.
