Strength:

The owner has a great deal of control to tweak the picture to suit any personal preference. Good sound quality, too.

Weakness:

There was no trouble watching the tv straight, that is, with out using the vcr. However, If I tried to watch through the vcr, whenever I switched channles the television would go blank and silent. I would have to turn off the set and turn it back on to get reception. This happened while using either of the 2 vcr''s I own, so it was the set, not the vcr. Also, the old set I was replacing did not have this problem with either vcr.

Very disapointing. I bought 2 thinking the first one was merely defective. I took them both back for having excactly the same problem.

Strength:

Excellent picture quality/clarity for a 25" interlace television. Can honestly rival the picture of a television that costs twice as much. The AV inputs and outputs are excellent. I get a very clean signal from the audio monitor out and clean picture through the S-video and composite video inputs.

Weakness:

I was unable to get my DVD player to play through the component video port. My television did not recognize any device connected to the jack. I believe this to be a television defect and am investigating it.

This television has proved to be a good purchase for me, for the money it offers high quality componetry and many configuaration options. I am basically using it as a AV receiver replacement because it boasts four inputs (coaxial, composite video, S-video, component video, three rca stereo inputs) plus an audio monitor output which I run into an amplifier.

Strength:

Picture is fine, with reasonable high-frequency definition. Lots of brightness and contrast headroom. Plenty of audio, but....ß

Weakness:

Plenty of audio, but it''s somewhat muddy when derived from set''s front end. When signals are fed from my VCR through the set''s line inputs, audio is clean. Channel blocking doesn''t work. Infrared remote-control has narrow reception angle.•

This set was a clearance item at my Sears store. Reg. $249/Sale $219. When I opened the carton, I found that set was damaged. I returned it and ended up settling for the only one left--the display unit-- for $135. Had it not been so inexpensive, I wouldn''t have accepted it..

Strength:

Good picture

Weakness:

No S-Video input, no outputs, manufacturers defect

I recieved this TV for my birthday, but was forced to return it. It has a very nice picture when coaxial cable is input, but due to a manufacturers defect (it showed up on other TV's in the store), when RCA video is input, there is a problem. When lighter blue and gray colors show up, waves appear across the light colored area. It is extremely annoying when watching DVD's and such. I tried several different cables and video sources, but I could not fix it. It was returned (I hated to do this that I might have sounded ungrateful for my birthday present) and my parents gave me their 27" Sony (much better but much more expensive) since they are buying a 36" HDTV. My recommendation: if you plan on buying this TV, make sure that you test video input in the store and watch for wavy lines when lighter colors show up. This is a nice TV overall, despite its lack of audio output and S-video input and I give it a 3 stars for its potential.

Strength:

Excellent sound, and Excellent picture

Weakness:

None

I bought this TV to go in my room with my Nintendo systems, and I can't think of a better TV than this one to go with them. The TV is a perfect combination with my Philips DVD Player. This TV is the perfect size for my room not too big and definitely not too small.
