Strength:

3D digital filter, very black screen, low price.

Weakness:

Not as flat as I'd originally thought. Remote is a bit annoying.

It's big and it looks good. Clear and detailed picture.

Eh, I just don't feel like writing today.

$880-ish at Uncle's.

Strength:

Excellent picture (isn't that what is all about?). Very flat screen.

Weakness:

Not enough video controls. Slight oversaturation of red. Default "out of the box" settings are horrible (but can be fixed). No component input. SVM can't be disabled without going into the box.

I've only had this TV for a few days, but so far I'm extremely pleased. In it's price range, nothing can touch it. I didn't like the Sony Wega TVs that I saw (make no mistake, they were very good, but not worth 50% more money than this set).

I paid $899 at Tweeter for it.

Strength:

High Contrast, black is black, bright colors

Weakness:

Geometry and focus is not perfet on edges.

This CRT is not suitable VGA computer graphic BUT has the best contrast and color quality I have ever seen to date in a CRT.
It is ideal for DVDs and Digital TV.
The geometry imperfection can be noticed when a rectangular shape occupies most of the CRT (e.g. Satellite receiver menu).

Sound: I have used it as center channel... even with an high pass of 150hz it sounds boomy.

Strength:

I bought the 32" gaoo tv set, a good deal based on price and picture quality compared to the wega.

Weakness:

The screen is rotated several degrees clockwise, a major irritation, this tv will go back to the store tomorrow. When watching a widescreen dvd the difference in height to the top black bar from left side to right side is 1 cm!!!

What a drag, I lugged this heavy beast into my house up many steps and now I have to bring it back. I'm frustrated.

I nice looking tv that doesn't work :(

Strength:

Detailed Picture, Flat Screen

Weakness:

Poor Geometry, Low Shadow Detail, Sound Imaging, Over Driven Red Level, Screen Blooming

I cannot recommend this television. I have gone through 3 sets and each of them had geometry problems. The picture on each of the sets was tilted/rotated clockwise. As a result, the right hand side of the screen was 0.25 inches lower than the left. If you watch letter box DVDs you should consider another set. Note that this tilt/rotation is not user adjustable as it is on other sets in this price range. ie. the Proton and Proscan.

After adjusting the user controls with both the Video Essentials and Avia Guide to Home Theater DVDs, I found that the red level was over driven to the point where I had to reduce color saturation, which also reduces the blue level, to produce an acceptable flesh tone. I also found that the power supply is not sufficient. This causes the picture to bloom and distort in scenes where there is a high white level.

Another problem is the absence of shadow detail. A good example can be found on the Zorro DVD, the scene where Zorro is in the confessional booth. The detail of the wood panel behind Zorro cannot be seen.

I purchased this set through Circuit City and they have stood behind their satisfaction guarantee. They will also honor some of the lower prices that you can find on-line. If you choose to purchase this set, be sure to purchase it locally... You may have to return it.

Strength:

The color depth and accuracy are truly outstanding. Remote is easy to use. Features are superior to other TVs in its class including 3D comb filter, 4 video inputs, center speaker.

Weakness:

The audio spatializer causes hissing and popping sounds. No component inputs.

This has been a very pleasant purchase. Quality of picture is superb. I looked at the Sony Wega and wanted it too. But it was too pricey and because of its width I couldn't justify stepping down to a 27" set.

I just bought this set a week ago and I love it. The picture quality and color is supurb! I almost bought a Sony Wega for three hundred more but I didn't think it was worth it. The Panasonic had better color and definition. This side firing speakers are nice to. I would say this is the next best set to a HD TV but cheaper.

Strength:

Everything about it.

Weakness:

Lack of Composite Video Inputs

I have owned this product for almost two years. It has been an excellent TV to this point. In fact, other than the lack of composite Video Inputs, this TV has absolutely no flaws. The reason that I purchased the TV was because I had recently bought a DVD player. I just had to have a TV that was large enough to appreciate the superior quality of the DVD picutre. The audio system soon followed. The picture was amazing the day that I bought it, and is just as amazing today. A paused DVD looks like a professionally taken photograph. It is amazing. In addition, the on-screen menu is very easy to learn and use.

When I was in the market to buy a TV two years ago, I compared a large number of TVs. At that point the Sony Wega was relatively new and everyone, including sales personel at all the stores, raved about it. However, I compared the Panasonic to the Sony side-by-side, and found that the Panasonic had a much warmer, more realistic picutre than the Sony. Don't get me wrong, the Sony had an excellent picture as well. But, when you looked at the $200-300 difference in price, there was no way the Sony was a better value.

To this day, I still walk through the Home Theater section ocasionally and see that the picture on this TV is as good or better than any of the TVs in that price range today. It gives you a good feeling to have purchased a product that peforms as good as the day you bought it and can compete with similar new products two years later. I recommend if anyone has the opportunity to get their hands on this TV now, but it.

Strength:

Nice picture, so so sound, easy controls, did I say nice picture-LOL

Weakness:

Can't find the Headphone Jack? does it really exist? HELP

NICE TV for the money $850.
Only got 4 stars because I can't find the HEAPHONE JACK.
Maybe some weren't produced with them - they do have a disclaimer on the lousy instruction booklet, which did I say didn't mention anything about the HEADPHONE JACK?

Panasonic CT-32SF36 is the replacement of 32SF35. The picture is extremely clear, minimal light reflection on screen, good sound quality, userfriendly remote control. 4 Video inputs with S-video are good for anything. Picture in picture function are lot easier to use then Toshiba. I had very bad luck with Toshiba TV, especially in sound quality. The only bad thing abut Panasonic CT-32SF36 is it's not assembled in Japan or USA. It was assembled in Mexico and I didn't see any Q.C. label on the TV. The other product I compared with Panasonic are Sony KV32V40, Proscan (RCA) PS32600. Overall Panasoic has the best quality and price. The 3 line comb filter, ultra flat screen and Velocity scan did make the best picture out of Panasonic. If you have luck, you may able to get one assembled in Japan of USA.
