Strength:

Great picture, good sound, AV switching

Weakness:

extremely poor ergonomics for remote

I find the remote on this to be one of the worst product designs I have evr encountered. I doubt if the designers actually tested the thing in real world coditions. Too easy to accidentally switch from any of the video inputs to receiver mode and too difficult to use any of the menu mode functions without inadvertently doing something other than what one wants. Panasonic shoulkd missue a recall and send all owners of any products with this remote a replacement that is useable. I give big penalty for this expensive set not having a great remote.

I boughth this in 11/98 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The picture was simply the sharpest of all in the range (Mits,Toshiba,Sony) . If you look at consumer reports, Panasonic has one of the lowest repair indexes as well. The unit has 2 s-video inputs. I have it hooked up to a Denon AVr2700 /95 receiver with surrounds. It's a very good set.

This Panasonic is an excellent set. The picture is clear and the sound is great. I have had the set for about 1 year now, and I have no complaints.

Strength:

Nice flat screen. Good colors

Weakness:

Very sensetive to another devices magnetic field

I have purchase this one about a year ago. It was looks very cool in store, but when I have set it at home I find out it give some snow. The funny part is that if I play with the wire on the back of TV the snow could disappear for a while. It seams that the unit is react to other electronic devices in the room (have an answering and phone very close to it, also my VSR and cable box is seating on top.
The snow get its worse when I turn my microwave in a kitchen, but that was almost expected.
I had a small old GoldStrar before and did not have this problem.
I was going to by a none flat model and it was couple houndreds cheaper. I feel that I do overpaid a little bit for this product. It is anoing to adjust the anthena evry 2 hours and to move evrything aroungd from time to time, just to get sutisfied picture.

Strength:

Excellent Picture, 2 S-Jacks, Nice software setup

Weakness:

No component Jacks, Remote could be better

Excellent television. In my opinion, better than the Wega at $300 cheaper. Many people that work in consumer electronics own this set.

Strength:

3D/YC comb filter,2 S-Video,4 inputs,2RF,low video noise,nice sharp picture,flat screen,good value

Weakness:

Poor owners manual, remote could be better

This is my first nice TV. I think it has one of the best pictures for the money. It has a lot of nice features. Cable and VCR look really good. DVD is stunning with S-Video. I do have a very slight clockwise tilt that I'll call up the TV people to have adjust before warranty ends. All in all a good TV. I looked at Toshiba , Hitachi, and Sony
32's and I felt the best value was the Pana. It does seem to push the red slightly so you just need a little tweeking to get it right. Sound is good. Contrast is good but I felt the Hitachi Ultravisions were really good with that. I like the sharpness and detail the Panasonic gives with a noticeably better comb filter than a 2 or 3 line digital others were giving. I've had the set for 9 months and am really happy and content with my decision as I did spend considerable time researching and comparing the various offerings out there.

Strength:

Beautiful picture under the right conditions, black level

Weakness:

Convergence problems, blooming and needs constant antena ajustment

This TV seemed to be perfect when I viewed it in the store, but when I got it home I began to notice one flaw after another.
The geometry on this set is terrible but the worst annoyance
to me is the blooming and the way the image curves in at the top right corner. I'm very disappointed in this purchase I really wanted to like this set. AsI stated earlier this set really does have a beautiful picture except for the problems I've mentioned. I hope Panasonic fixes these flaws in future models. I guess I'll just live with this set until HDTV come down in price.
