Strength:

Good Price ($560.00) S-video, 2 audio/video inputs, nice stock stero sound, excellent remote

Weakness:

Only fair picture. Some geometry problems. Color & contrast need to be adjusted frequently depending on source (i.e. VCR, broadcast, video game) 'Superior' comb filter isn't so great.

First off, I've always been a Panasonic fan. I really wanted to like this set. I went to Best Buy (mistake?) and compared several 32"sets (Toshiba, Sony, Panasonic, & Sanyo). You can't really trust the store comparison because of varying lighting and signal sources. Panasonic had the features and price, the redeeming quality of this otherwise average set. If I had a second chance, I'd get the $400.00 Sanyo and hold off spending more for a digital set.

Strength:

I have a Panasonic CT-32G11, but it's almost identical except for it only has 1 RCA input

+Good Picture

+32 is just the right size, big but not huge

+solid remote

+pretty sturdy

+easy to use menu/controls

Weakness:

-Poor Poor POOR sound, but that's usual for a TV, and I have a Technics amp and a couple 500 watt Technics speakers hooked up to it so it doesn't really matter.

-The buttons on the remote have to be pushed really hard to get them to work.

-It died in the middle of watching "Three kings" and took about $280 to repair.

This is overall a pretty good TV. It did die after only about 2 years and did take a fair amount of money to repair, but I doubt that happens with every TV and the quality of electronics today is generally much lower than 10 years ago. It does get a sharp picture, even with analog cable or a VCR. It gets a crystal clear picture with DVD, and it's not exactly the most expensive DVD player either, but it's pretty good. One annoying thing about it is the remote, it's sturdy but you have to push the buttons really hard to get them to work.

Strength:

Cheap. Straight picture on this one. Beats the hell out of the 27" for only $50 more.

Weakness:

For this price? Who cares? I care about high-fidelity sound, not high-fidelity video.

GREAT for a $375 floor model.

I've got a decent Marantz DD receiver that does justice to the S-video throughputs. The picture quality is very good for a composite signal.

Audio throughput, however, is dismal. I had it hooked into the receiver so that I could control the volume with the TV remote. Bad mistake. The best thing you can do with the audio options on this unit is turn them off and run your audio straight from your satellite box to your receiver--and use the sound from your VCR's tuner if you're on cable. This TV's sound is worse than horrible.

However, since I never use the TV sound anyway, I never notice the sound deficiencies of this TV.

If you find this for a similar bargain as I got, look no further. It has a picture that is so much better than the stuff at Wal-Mart it's really sad to look at those TVs after having this one. I'm glad I found it. I can't imagine ever needing more TV than this. It'd be nice, but I never thought I'd have anything even this nice in the first place. But for a price so close to the old 27", who could resist?

5 stars for value. 5 stars overall, since it's so easy to ignore the awful sound by simply turning it off.

Mostly all Panasonic. I've had a couple RCA small TVs, that were nothing to crow about.

Strength:

Picture, 2 sets of inputs(1 on front) and S-Video input. Panasonic quality (Other Panasonic stuff I've got: 12 yr old VCR, 8 yr old VCR, 16 yr old TV)

Weakness:

Sound, but I haven't listened to audio through a TV in 6 years

Purchased to replace 7 yr old 27" Panasonic that bit the dust. The picture is excellent and in my case the color/tint/brightness defaults were spot on for a change. I've always had these way off the defaults on the old set. I use this set as a monitor with a Dolby Pro Logic audid setup and DSS as source, so I don't care about sound or PIP. I paid $500 at Sears brand new in the box. I've read complaints about picture quality which could be related to the tuner/source. Using DSS I have good signal and the picture is wonderful. The corners to have a slight bend to them, but that's not really a problem.

Strength:

nice picture image good price

Weakness:

bad quality control/calibration of tv

Buying this tv was one of the most frustrating consumer experiences I've ever had. I'ts got a great looking picture tube and was a good deal at the lower price range for 32" tv's.However, I ended up going through at least six tvs all with problems before I gave up on panasonics quality control. All of them except one had a slanted picture tube so that the bottom corners of the frame were cut off and/or out of focus. You could also notice a slant on letterboxed programming. The only one that was straight had color bleed problems. Perhaps the in house repair service could have fixed the problem, but after wasting so much of my time, Panasonic lost my business
