Strength:

700 lines of resolution provides a sharp picture

Weakness:

Major flaw is the lack of ability to display straight lines and to maintain black colors within black backround.

I had this TV for exactly a week, when I firt brough it home, I was in love with the picture quality, it rivaled the wegas. After viewing about 7 dvd movies on it, I noticed door edges looked wavy, windows looked crooked a straight line fron a sniper scope did it for me, it was too noticable, I rented the video essentials dvd, and adjusted the setting, even with th contarst all trhe way down, and the picture brightness at a bareble level, the line still wasn't straight, on top of that this tv couldn't handle black colors well, in the test when it kept switching pictures the backround was supposed to remain black on good quality televisions, instead it went to gray. I will be returning it as soon as my local store gets tv jvc d series, they aren't as flat as the panasonic, but hopefully they will display the image correctly. OverallI do not reccomend this tv set, if you asked me within the first 3 days, I mightr of, although it could have been damaged since the picture(contrast) level is all the way up, that's the way it was set from the factory, so if you still want to buy this set, I reccomend turning down the contrastall the way down and rent video essentials dvd, maybe you will have better luck.

For the price I paid ($399) I will give this a value rating of 3.

Strength:

Flat Tube, Rich Colors, PiP, Universal Remote

Weakness:

Not absolutely flat(but close), picture is very dark for playing video games

The Panasonic CT-27SF26 has an excellent picture that looks great while displaying the signals from my DVD player or Dreamcast. The colors are very rich while the picture remains sharp. The sound is very pleasent for tv speakers and they can get pretty loud without becoming distorted. This television provides 2 composite imputes, 1 S-video imput, and 1 stereo output. The only thing that I didn't like was that I have to adjust the contrast while playing video games, because the picture is to dark otherwise.

Strength:

clear picture when source is right

Weakness:

bottom left corner of the screen is some what distorted (not in straight line). Remote is hard to set-up.

I really tried to like this TV, but, can't get over the contoured line at the lower left hand side of the screen. I am going to return it and exchange it for a SONY this time.

What can I say? This is the best 27" television period. When compaired to other brands (Sony-V series &WEGA, JVC-D series, Toshiba-Cinema series)it was consistantly sharper and far more natural looking. Its closest competitor would be the Sony WEGA, but I found the Panasonic to have an even better picture (regardless of price). I have to say that I'm dissapointed with the support the Sony WEGA's are getting. To me, they are NOT the best (although they're the most expensive). Get a Panasonic SuperFlat!

Strength:

Great contrast, Anamorphic correct

This is the best picture I've seen on top of the line 27 inch models. The picture is better than the Sony Wega, even though the Sony is more expensive. The Sony Wega seems to be having a problem keeping straight horizontal lines on the upper and lower part of the screen. This set definetely does a better job. The picture is the sparpest due to the 3D yc comp filter

Strength:

Good Price because of clearance

Weakness:

Shaky picture, increases interference

The color is excellent but the TV picture definitely seems to have much interference in the background. The interference is hardly noticeable on DVD, but very noticeable when the signal is less than optimal (even with a VCR). I know this isn't just a defect with mine, because this is my second one (had to return to the first because of a skewed picture tube)!!! Both were the same. Moreover, the flat screen is great, but I hate how all the lines are now curved on the television. Finally, this TV has an extreme "MORAY" effect. That is, when there are parallel lines close together, they distor and show many different colors. I wouldn't buy this TV.
