Strength:

Same quality and features as my JVC AV-27260, except a bigger screen and more powerful built-in speakers.

Weakness:

Same as I listed for the JVC AV-27260. No other.

My JVC AV-36260 and AV-27260 are both 2002 models. Both are equal in quality and features. The only 2 differences are screen size and speaker wattage. It is why I only submitted a thorough review on the AV-27260. It is why I said for my review on basically both to check my review on the AV-27260. It is since except for the 2 differences just covered, I have found no other.

Strength:

Clear, sharp picture and sound. Easy-to-use universal remote.

Weakness:

Same as the AV-27260. It is minor. So, it does not bother me. It has not gotten worse.

I have owned both this and the AV-27260 I also did a review of on this site. Both are equipped with the same features. Both are equal in having a life-like sharp, clear picture, thanks to their 3-line digital comb filters. And both have a clear, sharp, life-like hi-fi stereo sound with hyper surround and separate bass, treble and balance adjusters. The only differences I have found between my AV-27260 and AV-36260 is the screen sizes and how many watts are in each one's built-in speakers. That is all. So, for more information I have given on this TV, check out my review on the JVC AV-27260.

Strength:

3 Line Digital Comb Filter, 3 sets of video inputs (one set on front), component inputs, great sound with ''BBE'' and BEAUTIFUL PICTURE!

Weakness:

Screen glare from compound curve tube front.

I''ve owned the smaller JVC 32D502 for two years and have been totally happy with it. If I had to point out one weak point, it would be the screen reflection. I also have an old 1988 Sony 27" Trinitron Stereo, and it doesn''t reflect room lights as bad as the JVC. That said, I brought home both a Sony 36" and the JVC from Costco. I tried them side by side with Toshiba 2109 DVD on component inputs. The JVC picture had more luminosity, for sure. That is when I decided to keep the JVC 32" and return the Sony. Now, I have bought the 36" model (cause the old 27" Sony finally went out after 14 years), and put it in the living room, and replace the 27" Sony with the 32" JVC. I''ve read a lot of other reviews, and done a lot of instore ''tire kicking'', and the only other one I considered was the Panasonic 36". You couldn''t find more value for my $750 than the JVC 36260 (although I rarely, if ever use PIP). The picture is GORGEOUS! So I will be satisfied with it until my local cable starts providing HDTV and then I will get me a 53" Sony HDTV projection TV
