Strength:

PRICE!! and ease of use

Weakness:

warped tube, too much red

I would have never chose this TV over the Sony but it was almost half the price. For $650 this is about as good as it gets. There is no component input and curiously no s-video on the front. Sound is better than expected for those who still actually use their TV speaker =o) When properly adjusted the picture quality is very good, out of the box the reds are just FLAMING!! The main issue for this TV for me was the traditional warped non-flat tube but again, for the price it cant be beat. Remote and menus are easy and more than adequate. ash =o)

Strength:

Great picture, good sound, and easy operation

Weakness:

Only weakness was me trying to carry that 150 pound monster into my house!

Solid product.
When I turn my TV on, I do not get a menu. What you will find on the screen is a quality picture.
Excellent integration with my other JVC components. Compulink was a huge selling point for my technologically challenged wife.
I am pleased with the product.
F.Y.I. I bought the tv from Circuit City for $889 just before Christmas '99. It was on sale for $999, but I saw it @Electronics Express for $899. Circuit City matched the price and discounted 10% of the difference. I may have been able to get a better deal somewhere else, but when I saw it I was ready to take it home.

Strength:

excellent quality, very good picture, good adjustments

Weakness:

weight!

top quality and very highly rated by consumer reports. compared to Panasonic, Toshiba etc and the JVC won. Mine is a model 150 but it is basically a 050 model.Had a RCA but I replaced it with the JVC and am not disappointed at all. Wish I had spent the extra money and bought the JVC instead of the RCA I threw in the trash after only 1 and a half years. I am sure the JVC would be just doin' fine instead of winding up like the RCA!! very nice job JVC

Strength:

Sharp picture with good sound.

Weakness:

Picture in picture is not adjustable and menu always pops up when tv is turned on.

The only reason I bought this TV is because they had it rediculously marked down. I had gone into trusty Best Buy with my money in hand for a 32' Toshiba but walked out with a JVC. I am honestly pleasantly surprised with the picture quality of this television and do not regret this purchace yet:)

I went to Dillards to Buy a Sony KV-35s42 for $899.00 .
This TV was a floor display for $599.00 .
It is an excellent TV even if it were $899.00 .
It's replacing an Rca 27 incher. It is very impressive.
