Strength:

Excellent picture; sharp & vivid.

Weakness:

None

Of all the TV's I looked into, the JVC has the sharpest, cleanest picture with the least amount of distortion. Sone minor adjusting of the picture was all it needed (it was a bit red and saturated for my taste). I liked it best of all the 32" TV's I looked at in the $500-$900 range.

Strength:

Clean clear picture when connected to the JVC XV-D701BK DVD Player via the SVHS inputs on the back of the TV!

Weakness:

The panel on the back for A/V inputs/outputs seems somewhat flimsy in construction when connecting/disconnecting Monster Brand SVHS/Component Cables.

This TV set is one of the nicest sets I have seen in quite sometime. I have been very happy with the set and I am only unhappy with the fact that I can't get Compu-Link cables locally here in Houston from anyone. I haven't tried the Houston JVC Authorized service center.

I will admit if you are about to purchase a new DVD/SVHS/VHS cassette player you avoid the coax connections because of lack of quality with any component system.

I have my Sega DreamCast connected to this TV and it is just like being at the Arcade when playing these games through my JVC Reciever, patched to the TV via component connections.

I got this TV Open Box for approx $480 out the door from BestBuy!

Strength:

Very Good picture - Price

Weakness:

Glare - Reds Blossom - Speakers are below average in quality.

This JVC 32" TV is an excellent value as I paid $550 back in January. No problems with this set and the picture is very good although I'm still adjusting for the excessive reds in the picture. Many features for a low end model such as: S-Video, 2 RCA inputs, Digital Comb Filter, Hypersurround. The remote is easy to navigate.....Overall
I highly recommend this 32" TV until you're ready for that HDTV to drop in price in a few years.

Strength:

Crisp Picture. Does a great job of reproducing the natural color. Remote and menu are logical and easy to naviagate.

Weakness:

RCS and S-Video connections do seem flimsy but do not subtract from the sets quality.

I would strongly recommend this TV. I am very happy with this set and the Panasonic D220 DVD player. The 2 pieces make a great combination
