Excellent picture quality, good number of inputs, small footprint, stylish design.

Humming noise make watching at low volume levels annoying, no color temperature controls.

(Note that this review is for the follow-on 20F703 product) First the good: the picture quality is outstanding, better than the Sony Wegas I saw at the store and better than the 27" Sony XBR I have in my family room. It has a video inputs on the front and 2 inputs in the back - the back inputs are particularly handy because Input 1 can be regular composite video or S-video and Input 2 can be composite or component. (By comparison, the 2nd back video input on the Sony is component only.) The BBE sound feature is a nice addition. I like the fact that the set footprint is relatively small, allowing it to blend in to a smaller room. Now the bad: a very noticable humming coming from the back of the set make this annoying to watch at low volume levels. This might be tolerable in a family room or other noisy area, but be warned you may not be happy with this set in a bedroom. This is what I bought the set for, and I will be returning it for this reason.

This is the best TV for anyone looking for a small but powerful TV. If you love videogames,movies & sports then you must buy this TV over Sony. I have mine hooked up to my Sherwood RD-6108 that has Dolby® Digital,DTS & Pro Logic II that I paid for only $129.99!!!!!!! The sound in Pro Logic II is AWESOME!!!! Also my DVD,satellite & my PS2 are hooked up to the TV. You would be wise to buy one my friend.

Sound is only good for normal television viewing. No color presets or color temp controls.

The colors are beautiful even on analog sources such as cable and VHS. Has easy menu setup. It also has other features such as Channel Labeling although it can be tedious it is only four characters for each channel and it can take a while if you have cable. It has a component video input for a DVD player and an S-Video. Remote is nicely laid out, with univeral controls for a Cable box, DVD and VCR.

I was amazed by the crispness of the picture and colors, needs some adjusting after getting it out the box. But i was amazed how JVC saved a few bucks on the speakers.

I needed a small tv for my bedroom and this tv turned out to be perfect for me.I have my ps2 and gamecube hooked up to it and the games look great on it.Cable also looks very good.The color and detail on this tv are the best I''ve seen yet on a non hdtv.

I purchased this to use in my family room until I can afford a big screen HDTV. The picture is outstanding, especially when watching DVD using the component inputs. The picture is better than the more expensive Sony flat screen, plus this is the only set this size with component input. Excellent set for a den or bedroom.

This is a great little TV for the price. Like the Sony, it has flat screen but it also offers Component Video input - something you can''t get on smaller Sonys. The picture quality is excellent with adjustments for each video mode.
